    摘要: Devices and methods related to directional couplers. In some implementations, a coupler can include a driver arm and a coupler arm implemented relative to the driver arm to detect power of an RF signal. Portions of the driver and coupler arms can form an overlapping region, with at least one of the driver and coupler arms having a non-straight arm shape. The overlapping region can include a non-zero lateral offset between the driver and coupler arms. In some implementations, a coupler can include a driver arm having input and output sides, and a coupler arm having input and output sides and implemented relative to the driver arm to detect power of an RF signal. The coupler can further include a phase-shifting feature implemented with respect to at least one of the driver and coupler arms to reduce phase difference of power ripples associated with the coupler.

    摘要: A wide band directional coupler is disclosed. The coupler includes a main transmission line connected between an input port and an output port; and a coupling transmission line having a first length and connected between a coupling port and an isolation port, wherein the coupling transmission line is coupled to the main transmission line through a coupling capacitive connection and a mutual inductive connection, wherein at least a distance between the main transmission line and the coupling transmission line varies along the first length of the coupling transmission line such that any one of a capacitance value of the capacitive connection and an inductance value of the inductive connection is characterized by a relatively low value, wherein a coupling factor of the wide band directional couple remains substantially constant throughout an operating frequency band of the wide band directional coupler.

    摘要: A directional coupler includes a first to a fourth port, a main line connecting the first port and the second port, a first and a second subline section configured to be electromagnetically coupled to the main line, and a phase shifter. The first subline section, the phase shifter, and the second subline section are arranged in this order in series between the third port and the fourth port. The phase shifter outputs a signal that is phase-delayed relative to an input signal. The phase delay amount of the output signal of the phase shifter relative to the input signal increases with increasing frequency of the input signal. A frequency twice as high as the frequency of the input signal at which the phase delay amount is 90 degrees is lower than the frequency of the input signal at which the phase delay amount is 180 degrees.

The high band pass filter circuit has a first set of conductive pathways formed on the first surface of a suspended dielectric substrate, a second conductive pathway formed on the second surface of the substrate such that first and second conductive pathways are capacitively coupled, and plural resonators. The high pass filter circuit provides plural transmission poles within the band of operation exceeding the number of resonators.

The main line includes first and second main line portions formed substantially in a spiral shape, as viewed from a first direction. The sub line includes first and second sub line portions formed substantially in a spiral shape, as viewed from the first direction. The first and second sub line portions are electromagnetically coupled with the first and second main line portions, respectively. The second sub line portion is positioned in the second direction, as viewed from the first direction. The parasitic element is superposed on the first main line portion and the second sub line portion, as viewed from the first direction.

    摘要: Apparatus, method, and system example embodiments provide an improved integrated circuit RF front end to simultaneously transmit and receive signals for radar imaging. In an example embodiment, an apparatus comprises a transceiver coupled to a circularly polarized antenna assembly, capable of transmitting circularly polarized signals that are a component of a multi-signal radar beam; a power amplifier configured to amplify a transmit signal, coupled through isolation couplers to the circularly polarized antenna assembly; a phase shifting block circuit configured to perform phase shifting of a local oscillator signal, in response to the receipt of phase control signals, to perform phased-array beam steering of the multi-signal radar beam when the component circular signals are associated with signals transmitted from other transceivers receiving the phase control signals. The apparatus further includes a receiver circuit utilizing a receive phase-shifting circuit coupled to a quadrature down-conversion mixer, for receive beam steering.
