摘要: A wiring verification system is disclosed for testing the correct pairing of a plurality of subscriber lines between an existing line termination system and a replacement line termination system to assist in the transfer of the subscriber line terminations from the existing line termination system to the replacement system. The wiring verification system comprising a controller and two testheads, one of which places test calls from the line under test to a designated test line that is terminated by the second testhead. The electrical qualities of the wye splices between lines associated with new line termination system and those of the existing line termination system are analyzed for correctness and possible hazardous conditions. The directory number of the line under test can be verified by decoding the calling line ID. Automated test strategies provide details related to which splices require attention and suggestions for remediation.

摘要: The embodiment of the invention provides a media resource adaptation method, a media gateway controller and a server. In an embodiment of the invention, the services, the CTIS and the MGC are deployed in the center, each dispersed area is only equipped with the access equipment or the resource equipment, the deployment structure is simple, and the maintenance workload is less. The CTIS decides the resource adaptation, and the resource can be extended to the service sides. Therefore, the resource usage is flexible. The user terminal call can obtain the local media services, which reduces the occupancy of a VoIP long-distance link, thus lowering the operation cost. Furthermore, the global share of the media resources is realized, which is favorable for load balance and reduces the cost of redundancy devices.

摘要: A system is described for providing communication services and this system comprises a communication network with a number of exchanges and a number of connection points. Each connection point is connected by a fixed line to an exchange and is adapted to connect at least one communication terminal to the corresponding exchange. First connection points of the number of connection points are in an operative state and second connection points of the number of connection points are in an inoperative state. Operative connection points allow a communication terminal connected thereto access to at least one communication service through the system by having been assigned a unique address from a first group of unique addresses to each of the operative connection points. The inoperative state of the second connection points includes a standby state and the exchanges are adapted to recognise the standby state of an inoperative connection point used by a communication terminal to access the system and to allow the communication terminal connected to this inoperative connection point access to a transaction server through the corresponding exchange. The transaction server is adapted to switch an inoperative connection point into the operative state by assigning a unique address from the first group of unique addresses to this inoperative connection point so that the inoperative connection point is changed into an operative connection point.

摘要: A guide tool for organizing and identifying telecommunications cables during network cabling installation. Said guide tool is comprised of a solid, flexible material with multiple openings arranged in a curvilinear pattern around an arch. Cables are placed through the openings and pulled a desired distance. The guide tool is then slid by hand along the cables and the cables are secured in a bundle as they emerge from the back of the guide tool. Upon reaching the desired distance, cables are removed and a subsequent set is placed through the openings. The arch is positioned so that the secured bundle of the initial set passes through the arch. This placement maintains the guide tool on substantially the same path as the initial set, enabling the user to secure the subsequent set along substantially the same path as the initial set. This process is repeated for remaining set.

摘要: A device for tracing electrical cable. The device allows a cable installer or service person not only to identify one wire or cable in a group, but to simultaneously remotely identify as many cables as he desires. The device requires only that the installer connect a test device to each of the cables which he wishes to identify. Additionally, this identification is extremely easy to accomplish, as the “Identifying label” is in the installers own spoken words, and can be heard at the remote end by using existing industry standard test equipment (i.e.: an installer's test set, phone, headset, or amplified probe).

摘要: Method and system for automatically identifying the physical location and/or end-to-end connectivity of end-devices, each of which having a unique ID and, normally, being connected to an access point of a network, each access point having a known physical location and being connected to a port of a Switch. A first data that represents the relation between the unique ID of each end-device (that is connected to a corresponding port in the Switch) and the port, is stored in a storage means. A first set of separate contacts, capable of being represented, whenever desired, by switch ports, and a second set of separate contacts, capable of being represented, whenever desired, by access points, the first and second sets are capable of being cross-connected by corresponding data cords, are provided, for allowing changes in connecting end-devices to ports of the switch. Whenever desired, ports of the switch are connected to contacts of the first set and access points are connected to contacts of the second set. Predetermined contacts of the first and second sets are cross connected, and a second data, being the cross-connection data and representing the current cross-connection status between the sets and relating ports of the switch to corresponding access points, is obtained and stored. A Connectivity Table (CT), containing a third data that represents the end-to-end connectivity of each end-device that is connected to one of the access points, is generated, by utilizing the first and second data. Whenever required, the physical location of each end-device obtained by using the third data is updated according to changes in the first and/or in the second data.
