Abstract: An actuation system, in particular for a vehicle brake, may include an actuating device, such as a brake pedal, at least one first pressure source, e.g., a piston-cylinder unit (master cylinder), which can be actuated in particular by means of the actuating device and a second pressure source, in particular a piston-cylinder unit, with an electro-mechanical drive. The pressure sources may each be connected to at least one brake circuit via a hydraulic line, in order to supply the brake circuit with pressurising medium and to pressurise the vehicle brake. There may further be a valve device for regulating the brake pressure. It is planned that during forward and return stroke at least one brake circuit can be fed controlled pressurising medium by way of the second pressure source.

Abstract: A brake system for motor vehicles may have a main brake cylinder with a floating piston arranged therein, which hermetically seals first and second pressure chambers from one another. The first pressure chamber may be hydraulically connected to a first brake circuit, and the second pressure chamber may be hydraulically connected to a second brake circuit. The brake system may further include a pressure means reservoir under atmospheric pressure, wheel brakes, an electrically controllable pressure supply device for pressure build-up and pressure reduction in the wheel brakes, a valve block with a currentless open inlet valve/switching valve for each wheel brake and with at least one outlet valve, wherein each wheel brake can be hydraulically connected via the switching valve associated with it to a pressure chamber of the main brake cylinder.

Abstract: An operating device for a vehicle brake system may include a control device and a piston-cylinder unit, at least one chamber of which may be connected to at least one wheel brake via at least one hydraulic line and a valve device that has at least normally open inlet valves or switching valves. The device may further include a pressure source that may be controlled to supply pressure medium to the at least one hydraulic line or to the at least one wheel brake. The control device may control pressure build-up via volume control and/or time control, using inlet valves. The interior or armature chamber of an inlet valve may be connected to a corresponding brake circuit via a hydraulic line, and a valve seat outlet may be connected to a corresponding wheel brake via a hydraulic line.

Alternatively, one or both working spaces may be in communication with a reservoir for hydraulic medium via a hydraulic line, with a switching valve in one or both hydraulic lines, and/or a respective outlet valve may be associated with one or more hydraulic chambers of the consumer, and a further connecting line having a switching valve may connect the pressure chambers and/or hydraulic lines.
