摘要： A liquid jet type recording head comprises a liquid discharge section including an orifice for discharging the liquid to form flying droplets and a liquid passage providing part of a heat acting portion at which thermal energy acts on the liquid to form droplets, at least a pair of opposed electrodes electrically connected with a heat generating resistive layer on a substrate, and an electro-thermal converting element having a heat generating portion located between the electrodes, in which at least one of the electrodes is a turned electrode in which at least a portion thereof adjacent to said heat generating portion has a width smaller than that of said heat generating portion.

摘要： A liquid jet recording head comprises, in combination, a liquid discharge section having an orifice for forming flying liquid droplets at the time of the liquid discharge and a liquid flow path which is communicatively connected with the orifice and has as its one part a heat acting zone where heat energy acts on the liquid to form the liquid droplets; an electro-thermal transducer having at least a pair of electrodes arranged in mutual confrontation and in electrical connection with a resistive heat generating layer on a substrate to form a heat generating portion between said pair of electrodes; and a protective coating made up of three or more layers, each comprising an inorganic material, and laminated in a manner to cover the top surface of at least the heat generating portion, the inorganic materials constituting two mutually adjacent layers in the protective coating including therein at least one constituent element common to both layers.

摘要： A cylindrical sliding bearing 1 can rotatably support a rotational shaft by a sliding surface 4 (inner circumferential surface). A crowning 5 having a sloped surface is formed at both ends of the sliding surface 4 in the axial direction. The crowning 5 includes a first crowning 3A formed of a sloped surface of a lining layer 3 and a second crowning 2A formed of a sloped surface of a back metal 2 positioned on the lower side of the first crowning. Unlike a conventional sliding bearing, the back metal 2 where the crowning 5 is positioned is provided as a sloped surface (2A). As compared with conventional bearings, the crowning 5 can be prevented from being unevenly brought into contact with the rotational shaft.
