Abstract: To populate an entropy pool with entropy from external sources, a computer system transmits, to multiple entropy sources, a request to receive entropy. At least one of the multiple entropy sources is an external source that is external and operatively connected to the computer system. The computer system receives entropy from the external source. The computer system stores the entropy received from the external source in an entropy storage medium. The computer system receives, from a client computer system, a request for entropy to be used by the client computer system to implement a random number generation algorithm. In response to receiving the request, the computer system provides a portion of the stored entropy. The portion of the stored entropy provided in response to receiving the request includes the entropy received from the external source.

Abstract: A system is described for establishing a nested bridge to improve data exchange between a client device and a second virtual desktop accessed by the client device through a first virtual desktop in a nested mode configuration. The nested bridge can be established between a virtual desktop agent of the first virtual desktop and a virtual desktop client of the second virtual desktop, both of which can run in the first virtual desktop, to enable fast and efficient exchange of data between the agent and client within the first virtual desktop. The nested bridge can be utilized in conjunction with virtual channels connecting the client device to the first virtual desktop and virtual channels connecting the first virtual desktop to the second virtual desktop for exchanging data between the client device and the second virtual desktop to enable various features.

Abstract: A method of prefetching memory pages from remote memory includes detecting that a cache-line access made by a processor executing an application program is an access to a cache line containing page table data of the application program, identifying data pages that are referenced by the page table data, initiating a fetch of a data page, which is one of the identified data pages, and starting a timer. If the fetch completes prior to expiration of the timer, the data page is stored in a local memory. On the other hand, if the fetch does not complete prior to expiration of timer, a presence bit of the data page in the page table data is set to indicate that the data page is not present.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for providing automated admission control services for a RAN system. The method receives a trigger alert that includes an application identifier for an application, a dRIC identifier associated with a dRIC to which the application is to be deployed, and a set of configurations for the application that are in a first format. The method converts the set of configurations from the first format to a second format and sends the set configurations in the second format to an FCAPS management pod deployed to the dRIC. Upon receiving positive acknowledgment indicating successful implementation of the set of configurations from the FCAPS management pod, the method updates a configuration table stored in a database of the RAN with a set of admissions control information for the application. The method sends a notification to an API server for the RAN indicating the set of configurations have been successfully implemented for the application.

Abstract: A coherence protocol applied to memory pages maintains coherence between memory spaces on a plurality of nodes so that the threads of the runtime are operable on any of the nodes. The nodes operating according to the coherence protocol track a state and an epoch number for each memory page residing therein. The states include a modified state in which only one particular node has an up-to-date copy of the memory page, an exclusive state in which only one particular node owns the memory page, a shared state in which all nodes that have the memory page in the shared state have the same copy, and a lost state in which the memory page cannot be either read or written. The epoch number is a number that is incremented each time the page enters the modified state and is used to determine whether the page contains data that is stale.

Abstract: Embodiments for identifying workloads in a networking environment based on a flow record from an observation point are described. One embodiment of a method includes receiving network data from an endpoint in the networking environment, determining a plurality of administrative domains within the networking environment, and generating observation point mapping information that maps each observation point within the networking environment to one of the plurality of administrative domains. Some embodiments include generating a plurality of lookup tables, where a first lookup table is associated with a first administrative domain and where the first administrative domain corresponds to an L2 network that is disconnected from any router in the networking environment. Some embodiments include generating a workload identification table that maps combinations of IP addresses and administrative domains to workloads, receiving the flow record from the observation point, and identifying source and destination workloads of the flow record.

Abstract: A feature selection methodology is disclosed. In a computer-implemented method, components of a computing environment are automatically monitored, and have a feature selection analysis performed thereon. A constraint based semi supervised process is performed. Abstract: Hosting indices of different customers on searchers provided by one or more distributed storage systems can be implemented as computer-readable methods, media and systems. Statistical data for a set of indices is obtained, where each index is to be hosted on a searcher of a plurality of searchers. Scores for each index are calculated for a first searcher, where each index is associated with a respective customer of a set of customers, and the calculating is based on evaluating data for targeted average distributions of indices of each customer at the first searcher. A subset of indices are identified to be hosted at the first searcher based on evaluating the calculated scores. A request to secure an index from the identified subset of indices for hosting the index on the first searcher is initiated, and the index is hosted on the first searcher.
