    摘要: In a liquid crystal display device including a display area having a liquid crystal layer between first and second substrates disposed to confront each other, the display area comprising a number of pixels, and an element for driving the liquid crystal layer of each pixel for display being provided on the surface of the first substrate at the liquid crystal layer side of each pixel, in addition to the element, an operating unit for performing predetermined operational processing on the basis of data input to each pixel and outputting the processed data is provided on the surface of the first substrate at the liquid crystal layer side of each pixel. An input register circuit, a memory and an output register circuit may be provided to each pixel. With this structure, the liquid crystal display device has not only the image display function, but also the operating function, whereby the productivity can be enhanced, the manufacturing cost can be reduced and the liquid crystal display device can be designed in compact size and light weight.

    摘要: A video signal processing apparatus chiefly has a peripheral circuit, a low-voltage processing circuit for controlling image quality, a high-voltage processing circuits for converting into a signal for a liquid crystal display panel, and the liquid crystal display panel. Signal separation is performed in two stages, in the low-voltage processing circuit and the high-voltage processing circuits. The frequency characteristics of the low-voltage processing circuit are enhanced by decreasing the number of the separated sections thereof to two, while the frequency characteristics of the high-voltage processing circuits are suppressed by increasing the number of the separated sections thereof to twelve, and sufficient voltages therefor are provided.

    摘要: An active matrix liquid crystal display device comprises pixels composed of a liquid crystal arranged in a matrix and transistors for driving the pixels. In a selected period of time, gate pulses GP are applied to a gate electrode of each transistor for writing video signals in each pixel. Subsequently, in a non-selected period of time, the applying of the gate pulses is stopped for holding the written video signals. In a transition from the selected period of time to the non-selected period of time, the voltage shift of the video signals can be suppressed by shaping of a fall of the gate pulses step-wisely. In place of the above method, the voltage shift of the video signals can be also suppressed by shaping a fall of the gate pulses through dropping the gate pulses after lowering the voltage level of the gate pulses in a specified value once directly before the transition from the selected period of time to the non-selected period of time.
