    摘要: A wheel cylinder and brake piston are formed in the brake caliper of each wheel of a vehicle. A piezoelectric device, which is formed of laminated piezoelectric elements, is formed in the brake caliper such that it is connected with the wheel cylinder. By applying a voltage to the piezoelectric elements the piston device is made to expand and contract to thereby vary the volume of the wheel cylinder. Brake fluid is supplied from the master cylinder to the wheel cylinder via fluid passage formed in the brake caliper and a control valve for opening and closing this passage is formed in the passage. When there is a high pressure in the wheel cylinder, the piezoelectric device expands and the control valve closes. Then, by lowering the voltage the piezoelectric device contracts and the pressure in the wheel cylinder decreases.

    摘要: A piston in a first cylinder is driven as a piezoelectric element group, which includes a plurality of laminar piezoelectric elements stacked in layers, extends or contracts. A second cylinder is formed so as to connect with a first fluid pressure chamber which is defined in the first cylinder by the piston. A piston-shaped valve member is disposed in the second cylinder. The valve member is urged toward the first fluid pressure chamber by a spring. The first fluid pressure chamber is supplied with a fluid whose pressure is set by means of a selector valve. When the selector valve is closed, the fluid pressure chamber is defined as an independent compartment. In this state, high voltage is applied to the piezoelectric element group to elongate it, thereby driving the piston. Thus, the valve member is actuated by the fluid pressure inside the first fluid pressure chamber, and a fluid passage is opened and closed by the valve member.

    摘要: A hydraulic device having a first shaft including a first rotor, and a second shaft including a second rotor, the first and second rotors being constructed by adjacently fitting the same shape rotor elements, respectively. The rotor elements have teeth on the outer periphery thereof at a constant interval, and each tooth has a tip portion fluid-tightly engaged with an inner wall of a housing of the device. The rotor elements are adjacently fitted to the shaft in such a manner that the rotor elements are displaced in the same rotational direction along the axial direction of the shaft. The teeth tip portions of the rotor elements adjacent to each other are overlapped so that spiral paths are defined on the outer surface of the rotor.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an improvement in the configuration of the inner face of a housing of a through vane type rotary compressor for use in a car cooler or the like, in which both the top ends of a vane passing through the center of a rotor are always kept in sliding contact with the inner face of the housing.In the present invention, the configuration of the inner face of the housing is determined so that substantial face-to-face contact is produced between the rotor and the housing in a certain region with the point for contact with the rotor being as the center, and the configuration of the subsequent curved portion is defined by such a curve that the velocity of the sliding movement of the vane in the radial direction of the rotor is expressed by a gentle function where said velocity monotonously changes.The through vane type rotary compressor of the present invention is improved over the conventional through vane type rotary compressor in the volumetric efficiency, and the through vane type rotary compressor of the present invention is very excellent in the low-noise and low-vibration characteristics.

    摘要: A belt driven mechanism which may be employed to transmit engine torque to an automotive electric rotary accessory such as an alternator. The belt driven mechanism is equipped with bearings disposed between a pulley around which a belt is wound and a torque output rotor. The belt driven mechanism also includes a coil spring mechanism having a length with a first and a second end portion to establish transmission of torque between the pulley and the rotor. Each of the first and second end portion has a plurality of points of attachment to a corresponding one of the pulley and the rotor, thereby distributing a mechanical load acting on the pulley or the rotor into fractions. This avoids local exertion of the load on the bearings, thereby prolonging the service life and ensuring the reliability of operation of the bearings.
