摘要: A silicon thin film is composed of primarily silicon atoms, 0 to 8 atm % hydrogen, at least one element selected from the group including fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine, and an impurity element, wherein about 80 to 100% of microcrystalline grains are interspersed in an amorphous phase. The thin film is produced by deposition on a substrate in a plasma atmosphere using as a raw material gas silane (SiH.sub.4) or halogenated silane (SiH.sub.o--3 X.sub.4--1) wherein X represents a halogen or a combination of two or more halogens, and a dopant gas mixed with the raw material gas. The method comprises the steps of: (1) diluting the mixed gas with hydrogen in a ratio of the diluting gas to the raw material gas of from 50:1 to 100:1, to control the film deposition rate to produce a layer including mixed crystalline and amorphous substances; and (2) applying an electric power to provide a plasma discharge power density of from 0.1 to about 0.5 W/cm.sup.2, at a reaction pressure of 5 to 10 torr.

摘要: Moving picture signal transmission system, wherein the data-compression is effected for the moving picture by the intraframe-encoding and the interframe-encoding, the signal is divided into the fixed frame-length transmission frame, the transmission frame has the header (A, B, C) which identifies whether it is the first transmission frame, the middle transmission frame or the last transmission frame in one picture frame signal, and then the transmission frame is transmitted, a receiver informs a transmitter of the validity of the received sequence and the result of the error check, when a transmitter receives the error message from a receiver, the picture frame immediately after the message is encoded by only the intraframe-encoding, the succeeding frames are encoded through interframe-encoding, so that the influence of the error is removed within a short time.

摘要: A television signal coding system which achieves stable coding efficiency in both stationary and moving picture. This invention is directed to such a predictive coding system in which for predicting a first picture element in a certain field, use is made of sampled values of a second picture element lying next to the first picture element on the left on the same line and picture elements in the same field such as the third and fourth picture elements lying on the line second as counted upwardly from the line of the first picture element and sampled values of picture elements on the line immediately underlying the line of the first and second picture elements but in the previous field. In this invention, a comparison operation is made between restored values obtained by the intra-field predictive coding and the inter-field predictive coding, and one of coders which has provided a restored value closer to a true picture element value is adaptively used as an input signal coder. This makes it possible to utilize high coding efficiency by the inter-field coding in a case of a stationary picture and stable coding efficiency by the intra-field coding in a case of a moving picture.
