摘要: A method and apparatus for identifying coherent areas within a Web page. First, a Web page is parsed into an HTML DOM tree and an HTML tag token stream. Next, repeated-patterns are induced from the Web page. After filtering out improper repeated-patterns and generating corresponding instances of the repeated-patterns, the repeated-patterns are mapped back to corresponding regions in the Web page. Based on the mappings, a hierarchical RST tree containing information blocks is generated. Information items within the information blocks are detected then used to generate a hierarchical structural information block tree. Information blocks from the structural information block tree are then classified into text information blocks and link information blocks. Based on the classification and block semantic similarity, the bocks are clustered then grouped into semantic information blocks. The semantic information blocks contain main text information blocks and related link blocks which, if necessary, can be labeled.

摘要: A document display apparatus, method, and storage medium for realizing the apparatus and method extract data information relevant to each document of a plurality of electronic documents, count the number of the relevant documents in a given unit of time based on the extracted date information, and display the number of the counted documents and frequency information about a document containing visual information obtained based on the number of the documents in a given unit of time. A date is extracted by performing a pattern matching for a predetermined date expression. A unit of counting a frequency can be a year, month, day-of-week, or day. The visual information can be displayed by changing a color, brightness, and size of symbols or graphics depending on an intensity level obtained by normalizing a frequency. The distribution of date information contained in a plurality of electronic documents in a given unit of time can be easily obtained through a visual expression.

摘要: A gate oxide film is formed on an element region at the surface of a silicon substrate. A polycrystalline silicon film doped with a large amount of phosphorus is formed on the gate oxide by the CVD method. A titanium nitride layer with about 10 nm thickness is deposited on the polycrystalline film by the sputtering method. Further, a titanium silicide thin film with a 100 nm thickness is deposited on the titanium nitride layer. Furthermore, a silicon layer with about 50 nm thickness is formed on the titanium silicide thin film. Accordingly, a gate electrode is provided.

摘要: A pressure detecting apparatus for detecting vehicle tire air pressure. In a cylindrical housing mounted axially in parallel with a tire wheel, a setting magnet, a rotor magnet and a reversing magnet are coaxially provided and the rotor magnet is supported by a shaft rotatably and axially movably in response to a tire air pressure introduced to a bellows in the housing. When the air pressure is normal, the rotor magnet is attracted by the setting magnet. When the air pressure is reduced, the rotor magnet is separated by the movement of bellows, rotated by the repulsion force of the reversing magnet and finally attracted to said reversing magnet. By this operation, position of the magnetic poles of the rotor magnet is reversed and this reversion is detected electrically by a magnetism detecting unit.

摘要: An automotive audio system separates audio signals from an audio signal source into first and second components. The first component of the audio signal is sent directly to a first main amplifier through a first audio signal path and reproduced through a main speaker or speakers. On the other hand, the second component of the audio signal is sent to a second main amplifier through a second audio signal path. An echo system is provided with the second audio signal path, which echo system induces echos in the audio sound to be reproduced through the second main amplifier. The echo system is associated with a discriminator circuit which receives an audio signal output from the audio signal source and derives an echo system control signal on the basis of the audio signal. The echo signal control signal is fed to the echo system for controlling operation of the echo system.

摘要: An audibly announcing apparatus capable of announcing updated time or results of arithmetic operations in the form of audible sounds or synthesized voices, for example, a talking clock and a talking calculator is provided with power saving circuitry. A detector is provided for detecting the operating state of the apparatus where audible sounds or synthesized voices are to be outputted. The power saving circuitry prevents power from being supplied to a voice generator consumes most of power dissipated by the apparatus, when it is not desired to output audible voices. The voice generator includes a central processing unit (CPU), a program read only memory (P-ROM) and a digital-to-analog converter.

摘要: A collator includes a series of twenty bins arranged in parallel with each other. A copy feeding member feeds copies supplied from a copying machine along inlets of the successive bins. First and second deflecting devices are arranged at uppermost two bins for delivering the copies into the uppermost two bins. A distributor is movable between the third bin and the twentieth bin for delivering the copies into the bins. An extra tray is provided separately from the bins. The collator further comprises a collate mode selecting member, a job separation mode selecting member and a non-collate mode selecting member. While the collator processes the copies of a certain document under any one of the collate, job separation and non-collate modes, for instance the collate mode, any one of the job separation and non-collate modes, for instance the job separation mode, to be effected for copies of the next document can be reserved, and the collator is automatically switched from the collate mode into the reserved job separation mode upon completion of the previous collate mode.

摘要: A steering wheel device for an automotive vehicle, comprises a steering shaft arranged in the automotive vehicle, a steering wheel frame fixed to the upper end portion of the steering shaft, a main frame which can move in relation to the steering wheel frame, a steering wheel pad attached to the main frame in such a way that the steering wheel pad can function as a horn switch, the steering wheel pad having a plurality of operation holes, and a plurality of operation switches for controlling an electric device other than the horn switch, the operation switches being fixed at the bottom portion thereof to the steering wheel frame. The top of the operation switches is placed in the corresponding operation holes and apart from the front surface of the steering wheel pad by such a distance that, when the steering wheel pad is pushed to actuate the horn switch, the top of the operation switches does not protrude from the front surface of the steering wheel pad.
