    摘要: An improved process for preparing the antimicrobial compound flumequine is disclosed. The first step of the process comprises reacting 4-fluoroaniline with crotonaldehyde under acidic conditions at a temperature between 50.degree. and 60.degree. C. In the second step, the product of the first step is slowly added to a refluxing solvent which forms a binary azeotrope with water and has a boiling point between 90.degree. and 120.degree. C. to provide a mixture of 6-fluoroquinaldine and 6-fluorotetrahydroquinaldine. This mixture is then treated with base in the presence of weak acid followed by reducing to provide 6-fluorotetrahydroquinaldine. This compound is then treated according to known procedures to form flumequine.

    摘要: The present invention provides novel “patch in a bottle” technology in which a fluid composition, e.g., an aerosol spray, is applied onto a surface as a fluid, but then dries to form a covering element, such as a patch, having a tack free outer surface covering an underlying adhesive that helps adhere the patch to the substrate. The fluid compositions have a unique chemical formulation that allows such composite patches to form in situ. Specifically, the fluid compositions include a tacky component, such as an adhesive, and a film-forming, non-tacky component. The non-tacky and tacky components are selected to be immiscible with each other so that the components undergo phase separation as the fluid composition dries.

    摘要: A composition which is curable to an elastomer comprising:A polymer or mixture of polymers of the formula ##STR1## wherein: X are monovalent moieties having ethylenic unsaturation which can be the same or different;Y are divalent linking groups which can be the same or different;m is an integer of 0 to 1;D are monovalent moieties which can be the same or different selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, an alkyl group of 1 to about 10 carbon atoms, aryl, and substituted aryl;R are divalent hydrocarbon groups which can be the same or different;R.sup.1 are monovalent moieties which can be the same or different selected from the group consisting of alkyl, substituted alkyl, aryl, and substituted aryl;R.sup.2 are monovalent moieties which can be the same or different selected from the group consisting of alkyl, substituted alkyl, aryl, and substituted aryl;R.sup.3 are monovalent moieties which can be the same or different selected from the group consisting of alkyl, substituted alkyl, vinyl, aryl, and substituted aryl;R.sup.4 are monovalent moieties which can be the same or different selenited from the group consisting of alkyl, substituted alkyl, vinyl, aryl, and substituted aryl; andn is an integer of about 270 to about 1000.A composition which is curable to a pressure sensitive adhesive comprising the above polymer and a sufficient amount of tackifier.     摘要: The invention provides a silicone composition which is rapidly, completely, and reliably radiation curable to an elastomer comprising an organopolysiloxane polymer having terminal groups which contain ethylenic unsaturation and in addition possess both hydrogen bond donor and acceptor capabilities. The invention also provides a composition which is curable to a pressure sensitive adhesive comprising the above polymer and a sufficient amount of tackifier. The invention also relates to silicone macromonomers additives for varying the properties of the composition. The invention further relates to fluorosilane compounds useful in the preparation of silicone macromonomers, their preparation and the preparation of silicone macromonomers.
