摘要: There is provided a technique which, in the case where the operation has not occurred in a manner as expected by the user, determines from which standpoint the operation was not as expected, and makes a response that is closer to the expectation. An information processing system according to the present invention includes: a reaction section for executing a first process based on a request from a user; an output section for outputting a result of a process; a signal detection section for measuring a signal concerning an event-related potential of electroencephalograms of the user; an analysis section for identifying a positive peak in the event-related potential and determining whether an elapsed time since the result is output and until the peak appears is closer to a first reference time or a second reference time; and a reaction modifying section for determining a second process in accordance with the determination result. This determination result indicates a degree of disappointment of the user, and the second process is to be determined in accordance with the degree. By the reaction section executing the second process, an operation is realized which conforms to the user's expectation even if the operation has not occurred in a manner as expected by the user.

摘要: An input section (101) receives a manipulation input of a user (50). A biological signal detection section (102) measures an event-related potential of electroencephalogram of the user (50). An operation error judgment section (103) judges using the event-related potential of the electroencephalogram of the user (50) at around 300 ms from a timing when the input section (101) receives the manipulation input as a starting point whether or not the manipulation input is due to an operation error of the user. An equipment operation control section (104) determines an operation of an equipment (1) based on a result of judgment by the operation error judgment section (103).

摘要: An input/output device enables a system to adapt its operation to the user's learning the system without interfering with what the user has already learned about operating the system. In an input/output device enabling a system to adapt to how frequently the user uses particular functions, a storage unit 12 accumulates information about the operations the user performs, a user learning evaluation unit 13 determines if the user has learned each function based on the input operation history accumulated by the storage unit 12, and a menu display position adjustment unit 14 leaves the menu display position unchanged for any function the user learning evaluation unit 13 determines the user has learned, and rearranges the menu display positions of only those functions the user learning evaluation unit 13 determines the user has not learned in descending order of the frequency of execution based on the input operation history stored by the storage unit 12.

摘要: A storage section stores various sensor signals obtained in an input section together with operation contents instructed in an output section. A signal discrimination section references the storage section to specify a sensor of which output value is influenced by a given operation. An operation result prediction section and an operation determination section generates through learning a prediction model expressing a relationship between the operation and the specified sensor and determines, with the generated prediction model referenced, an operation that allows an output of a target sensor to be a target value.

摘要: Disclosed is a control system and method of a two cycle direct fuel injection engine capable of smoothly suspending combustions in the cylinder during light load operation of the engine. Based on a map parameterizing the engine speed and the target engine load, it is judged whether or not, when the engine load is in the light load condition, the target engine load is located in a suspending area in which misfires tend to occur. If the target engine load is not in the suspending area, since there is no possibility of misfire, the normal combustion cycle continues to operate. On the other hand, if the target engine load enters into the suspending area, the control system instructs the fuel injection and ignition apparatuses so as to suspend fuel injection and spark ignition with a frequency determined according to the magnitude of the engine load. The frequency is determined by a predetermined formula such that it is reduced as the engine load becomes high and is increased as the engine load becomes low.

摘要: An internal combustion engine having a cylinder head body with a pentroof-shaped combustion chamber comprises a piston including a piston cavity and a caldera-shaped protrusion provided around the piston cavity, a fuel injector for injecting fuel downward to the piston cavity and a spark plug disposed obliquely in proximity to an intake valve. The piston cavity is provided on the top surface of the piston being offset on the spark plug side. Further, the caldera-shaped protrusion is slanted towards the spark plug side. Therefore, injected fuel collides against a down-slope of the piston cavity and is diffused partly towards the spark plug and partly towards the cylinder head. As a result, a locally rich air-fuel mixture is formed around the spark plug so as to enable stratified charge combustion.

Fuel is injected in a shape of a hollow cone and collides against the piston cavity and is diffused The diffused fuel is carried on the tumble flow of intake air and gathers around the electrode of the spark plug, this contributing to securing a stable stratified charge combustion. Further, the configuration of the circular protrusion prevents the sprayed fuel from scattering towards the cylinder wall.

摘要: In a catalyst activation control system for a direct fuel injection engine for igniting primary fuel injected into each cylinder, an additional fuel is injected at least once into each cylinder from an early period to a middle period of an expansion stroke of the primary fuel combustion in accordance with the engine operating conditions, to fire the additional injection fuel by flame propagation of the preceding fuel combustion (without re-ignition) for eliminating misfire, so that an exhaust gas temperature can be raised stably to activate catalyst for purification of exhaust gas. Further, any one of the additional fuel injection method and an ignition timing retarding method can be appropriately selected in accordance with the engine operating conditions for economization of fuel. Further, whenever a quantity of heat generated by the primary fuel combustion is not large enough to fire the additional injection fuel, any one of a method of changing a stratification combustion to a uniform combustion, a method of increasing the first fuel injection amount, and a method of interrupting the additional fuel injection can be selected appropriately for protectiing the catalyst.

摘要: The air-fuel ratio of a lean-burn engine is controlled so as to be adjusted to a lean-burn air-fuel ratio with a low NOx concentration. As this is done, an actual combustion fluctuating rate is detected from the cylinder pressure, and the air-fuel ratio is adjusted to the rich side with respect to the lean-side limit, whereby a satisfactory driving performance can be secured. The state of NOx exhaust is determined by an actual NOx concentration, and the air-fuel ratio is adjusted to the lean side with respect to the allowable limit of the NOx exhaust. On the other hand, the combustion fluctuating rate and an allowable limit value of the combustion changing rate under the driving conditions concerned are compared, while the NOx exhaust rate and an allowable limit value of the NOx exhaust rate under the same driving conditions are compared. The EGR amount is decreased when the combustion fluctuating rate is higher than the allowable limit value, and is increased when the NOx exhaust rate is higher than the allowable limit value of the NOx exhaust rate. Thus, the NOx exhaust can be decreased.
