摘要： A wound dressing is provided herein for systemic administration of a physiologically- or biologically-active agent by controlled release of the agent into such wound. The wound dressing includes a substrate in the form of a fabric or cloth, at least a portion of which is cellulosic, which has been chemically modified to convert hydroxyl groups in the cellulosic portion to ionic-adsorbing sites. An ionic form of a physiologically- or biologically-active agent, namely an antibacterial agent, an antifungal agent, an analgesic agent, a tissue healant agent, a local anesthetic agent, an antibleeding agent, an enzyme or a vasoconstrictor is adsorbed in that substrate. Ionic bonds hold that agent temporarily to the substrate for controlled release therefrom in proportion to the amount of exudate in contact with the substrate. The ionic bonds are formed by adsorbing that agent on that substrate at room temperature. The ionic bonds disassociate upon contact with body exudate from wounds to which the wound dressing is applied by ion exchange with ions in the body exudate, thereby to release that agent in an amount in proportion to the amount of the exudate in contact with the substrate.

摘要： A shift lever control device is disclosed. A cranked guide slot is defined along which a shift lever is slidably moved. The guide slot includes at least one elongate part and a shorter terminal part which extends in a given direction perpendicular to the elongate part. The shift lever is pivotal in a universal direction and biased in a direction opposite to the given direction. A pivot latch member is located near a joint portion between the elongate part and the shorter terminal part of the guide slot. The pivot latch member has a guide recess formed therein and is pivotal between a first given position wherein an enclosed space is defined by the shorter terminal part of the cranked guide slot and the guide recess of the pivot latch member and a second given position wherein the guide recess of the latch member is open to the elongate part of the cranked guide slot. A check mechanism is employed for making the pivotal movement of the latch member to the first and second given positions in a snap action manner. The check mechanism includes a cam member secured to the latch member and having a cam surface with rounded depressions, elastomeric members respectively disposed in the rounded depressions, and a detent member held by a stationary member and resiliently pressed against the cam surface of the cam member.

摘要： A power circuit for a camera comprising a power activation means containing a release switch for activating the camera, a step-up means for starting to step up the voltage of a battery by the power activation means, a CPU which is driven by an output of the step-up means so as to control the operation of the camera and which has a reset terminal for stopping the operation, and a voltage detecting means for detecting the output voltage of the step-up means and for generating a detection signal when the voltage is lower than a set value which has previously been determined, the set value being set to correspond to the limiting operation voltage of the CPU and, when the output voltage of the step-up means is lower than the limiting operation voltage of the CPU, the CPU being reset and stopped to operate.

摘要： A programmable shutter of the type wherein a shutter blade is opened and closed by means of a stepping motor. The motor is rotated in a forward direction by drive pulses of a predetermined fixed period to gradually open a sector while at the same time a light measuring circuit is started. Thus, at the time when an appropriate exposure quantity is reached, the direction of rotation of the motor is forcibly reversed to effect closing of the sector to attain simultaneous measurement of light and exposure.

摘要： An ink receptacle for an on-demand type ink jet printer in which an ink reservoir for storing ink which is to be ejected from an ink jet head is mounted on a carriage. A relatively thick flat housing which is made of non-flexible resin and open at one surface and a single flexible film are bonded together, the film covering the open side of the housing. The housing and the film cooperate to define a relatively large first ink chamber having an opening which is open to the outside and a relatively small second ink chamber also having an opening which is open to the outside. That part of the film which covers the first chamber is deformable to vary the volume of the first chamber corresponding to an amount of ink remaining in the chamber.
