摘要: An illumination apparatus includes lenses, a first casing that has a radiation plane provided with annularly arranged windows for attaching the lenses, respectively, independently, and that has an opening at a position opposite to the radiation plane, and a first substrate associated with each of the lenses and accordingly disposed. The first substrate has at least one light emitting device mounted thereon. The first casing includes a holding portion associated with each of the windows. The holding portion each permits the lens to be attached to the first casing from a side thereof having the opening and also restrains the lens from moving through the first casing toward the radiation plane, and when the lens is attached to the first casing, the lens has an optical axis in a direction having a predetermined angle relative to a center axis of the first casing.

摘要: In an ultrasonic motor, an elliptical vibration is generated by combining a longitudinal primary resonance vibration resulting from an expansion and a contraction of a vibrator in a direction of a central axis and a torsional secondary resonance vibration or a torsional tertiary resonance vibration resulting from twisting around the central axis. A dimension ratio of a rectangle of the vibrator is chosen such that a resonance frequency of the longitudinal primary resonance vibration and a resonance frequency of the torsional secondary resonance vibration or the torsional tertiary resonance vibration match. The vibrator includes a plurality of regions in a surface orthogonal to the central axis, and deformations of the regions adjacent to each other along the direction of the central axis are mutually different. The vibrator expands and contracts in a direction orthogonal to a polarization direction thereof.

摘要: This storage control apparatus 100 is able sufficiently to manifest the merits of economization of electrical power. The storage control apparatus 100 includes one or more additional storage units 150 which are adapted for the supply of power to them to be turned ON and OFF individually. Each of these additional storage units 150 includes a plurality of storage devices 154 (for example, a plurality of HDDs). When a user actuates a management device 106, and causes one or more RAID groups and a spare HDD for each of these RAID groups to be set within the storage control apparatus 100, an MPU 140 of the storage control apparatus 100 controls the management device 106 to make the user set each RAID group and the spare HDD for it within the same additional storage unit 150.

摘要: A portable simplified image display apparatus and a receiving system are provided, which can sensuously know the state of received strength of radio signals transmitted from a body-insertable apparatus, in either case of before examination or during examination. A viewer (7) includes a detector that detects received strength of a radio signal transmitted from a capsule endoscope (2) and a notifying unit that notifies the detected state of received strength in a display pattern such as a picture display of a capsule (41). Therefore, in either case of before examination or during examination, the state of received strength of radio signals transmitted from the capsule endoscope (2) can be sensuously known according to the notification result of the state of received strength. If it is during examination, supplementary observation can be performed based on an excellent received image by searching a site having strong received strength, thereby enabling contribution to satisfactory examination.

摘要: To realize a receiving system that can excellently receive radio signals before and after a body insertable device, which is a radio signal source, is inserted into a subject, the receiving system has a first receiving antenna (1), a second receiving antenna (2), and a receiving apparatus (3). The first receiving antenna (1) is used when the body insertable device is outside the subject. The second receiving antenna (2) is used when the body insertable device is inserted into the subject. The receiving apparatus (3) performs a receiving processing on radio signals received through the first receiving antenna (1) or the second receiving antenna (2). In the receiving system, a receiving antenna connected to an antenna connector (13) provided in the receiving apparatus (3) is switched between the first receiving antenna (1) and the second receiving antenna (2) corresponding to a difference in propagation states of radio signals transmitted from the body insertable device before and after the body insertable device is inserted into the subject. Consequently, the receiving system that can excellently receive the radio signals before and after the body insertable device is inserted into the subject is realized.
