    摘要: A display device has an array formed on a substrate including a cathode wiring line layer, a gate wiring line layer and an insulating layer for electrically insulating the cathode wiring line layer and the gate wiring line layer from each other. Holes are formed at the crossing portion between the cathode wiring line layer and the gate wiring line layer so as to penetrate through the insulating layer, and resistive layer and an emitter layer are provided in the holes. The resistive layer has such a structure that conductive fine particles are dispersed in a base material of insulating fine particles, and the emitter layer is formed of a fine particle material. The insulating layer between the cathode electrode lines and the gate electrodes is formed of a silicon oxide film containing fluorine. When a large number of elements are formed over a large area in an electron emission device using fine particle emitters, there can be provided electron emission elements which can suppress the unevenness of the electron emission amount. According to the present invention, there can be provided a large-area and uniform display device which can be operated with a low driving voltage, and have a long lifetime.

An adjustment filter generates an adjusted picture by applying a filter to an area of the input picture. The filter has the same characteristic as the smoothing filter. The area has a brightness matched with a predetermined condition of noise detection. A contrast component calculation unit calculates a contrast component of the input picture by dividing each pixel value of the adjusted picture with a corresponding pixel value of the smoothed picture. An output picture generation unit generates an output picture by multiplying the smoothed picture with the contrast component.

    摘要: In a pixel unit, cells are arranged in rows and columns two-dimensionally. Each of the cells accumulates signal charge obtained by photoelectrically converting light incident on photoelectric conversion section and outputs a voltage corresponding to the accumulated signal charge. On the cells, W, R, G, and B color filters are provided. Analog signals output from the W pixel, R pixel, G pixel, and B pixel are converted into digital signals by an analog/digital converter circuit, which outputs a W signal, an R signal, a G signal, and a B signal separately. A W signal saturated signal quantity is controlled by a saturated signal quantity control circuit. Then, a signal generator circuit corrects the R signal, the G signal, and the B signal using the W signal, the R signal, the G signal, and B signal output from the analog/digital converter circuit and outputs the corrected R, G, and B signals.
