摘要: In a damping force control type hydraulic shock absorber, the flow path area of a port is changed by moving a spool according to an electric current supplied to an actuator, and thus the flow path area of a passage between cylinder upper and lower chambers is directly changed, thereby controlling orifice characteristics. Moreover, the pressure in a pilot chamber is changed according to the resulting pressure loss so as to change the valve opening pressure of a disk valve, thereby controlling valve characteristics. This enables the damping force characteristic control range to be widened. The pilot chamber is formed by the side wall of a valve member, the disk valve, a seal disk, and a seal member, also, the seal member has no sliding portion. It is therefore possible to minimize the leakage of hydraulic fluid and to obtain stable damping force characteristics. It is also possible to minimize variations in damping force with temperature changes.

摘要: According to the present invention, a method for producing a semiconductor device in which an active region made of a crystalline silicon film is formed on an insulating surface of a substrate is provided. The method includes the steps of: forming a first amorphous silicon film on the substrate; selectively introducing at least one kind of catalyst elements for promoting the crystallization of the first amorphous silicon film into a part of the first amorphous silicon film before or after forming the first amorphous silicon film; heating the first amorphous silicon film so as to crystallize the first amorphous silicon film in a direction substantially parallel to a surface of the substrate with respect to a region surrounding a region into which the catalyst elements are selectively introduced; forming an insulating thin film in a region on the crystalline silicon film in which crystals are grown in a direction substantially parallel to the surface of the substrate so as to partially remove the insulating thin film and the crystalline silicon film so that a linear boundary is formed along a crystal-growing direction of the crystalline silicon film; forming a second amorphous silicon film on the crystalline silicon film; and crystallizing the second amorphous silicon film by heating or by irradiating a laser beam or an intense light.

摘要: A suspension system includes a shock absorber body, a piston rod that projects upwardly from the upper end of the shock absorber body, and a mount that is provided on the projecting end portion of the piston rod to attach the projecting end portion to a vehicle body. The mount includes a first mounting member that is attached to the piston rod, a second mounting member that is attached to the vehicle body, and a rubber mount member that is provided between the first and second mounting members. The rubber mount member has a pair of thick- and thin-walled diametrically opposing portions. The suspension system further includes engagement members to which a retainer is disengageably attached to retain the thick-walled portion of the rubber mount member in a compressed state.
