    摘要: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to neighbor awareness networking (NAN) operations in the 6 GHz frequency band. A NAN device may generate a first NAN frame including a first indication of a NAN operation capability, and a second indication of a transmit power of the NAN device. The NAN device may send the first NAN frame and may identify a second NAN frame received from a second NAN device, the second NAN frame including a third indication of the NAN operation capability, and a fourth indication of a transmit power of the second NAN device. The NAN device may determine, based on the transmit power of the NAN device and the transmit power of the second NAN device, an operation parameter for the 6 GHz frequency band. The NAN device may establish, based on the operation parameter, a NAN connection using the 6 GHz frequency band.

    摘要: Certain embodiments herein are directed to determining an allocation of wireless spectrum, which may include one or more frequencies for communicating content, among operator networks that provide wireless (for example, cellular) services to their customers. Information associated with a supply of wireless spectrum and a demand for wireless spectrum may be analyzed to determine an allocation of the wireless spectrum. Various techniques may be used to determine the allocation, such as various types of auctions, mathematical or statistical techniques, and/or heuristic approaches that may consider various factors. Upon determining an allocation of the wireless spectrum, configuration information associated with the wireless spectrum may be determined and sent to one or more devices associated with respective operator networks, where the configuration information may be used to configure the operator network to utilize the allocated wireless spectrum.

    摘要: Embodiments of a station (STA) and method for communication in accordance with block acknowledgement (BA) are generally described herein. An originating STA may transmit a block acknowledgement (BA) setup message to a receiving STA that indicates a maximum medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (MPDU) size for a data session. The maximum MPDU size may be determined as part of a negotiation of a BA procedure. The originating STA may aggregate, in accordance with the maximum MPDU size, one or more groups of MAC service data units (MSDUs) for inclusion in a group of MPDUs for transmission to the receiving STA. The receiving STA may transmit, to the originating STA, a multiple traffic identifier (multi-TID) BA message to indicate whether the MPDUs have been successfully decoded at the receiving STA.

    摘要: A system and method are provided for using location services available from other radios in a multi-radio system to assist a beamforming mechanism, particularly in establishing and maintaining mmWave communication link. A majority of wireless client devices for use in a mmWave communication link are equipped with multiple radios. Many of the “other” radios include technologies that support location based services, including GPS, Wi-Fi and cellular communications. One or more non-mmWave in one device is used to provide relative location information regarding the other device with which the mmWave communication link is to be established. The relative location information is used to derive a direction for communication, and to compute beamforming parameters, in a limited set of transmit/receive sectors where the destination device is likely to be found, in order to streamline the beamforming process.

    摘要: A system and method are provided that allow WiGig protocol adaptation layers (PALs) to operate differently from the proposed WiGig standard on top of an Internet protocol (IP) layer in order to enhance routing options for communication of the data traffic between a transmitting (source) device and a receiving (sink) device. A layering architecture is provided that allows WiGig PALs, such as WDE, to operate on top of an IP layer. A signaling mechanism is also provided that allows a negotiation, or at least an indication, of the underlying layering structure for specific data communications. Recognizing that the next generation wireless display requires technology such as WiGig WDE to support the driving demand for a cable replacement user experience and richer wireless display use cases, this PAL over IP architecture optimizes alignment of the WiGig data communication technology with other data communication technologies.
