Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, a first control message indicating sets of transmission parameters associated with dynamic transmission parameter adaptation. The UE may receive a second control message including an indication to switch from communicating with the network entity in accordance with a first set of transmission parameters to communicating with the network entity in accordance with a second set of transmission parameters. The UE may communicate one or more messages with the network entity based on a switch, in response to the second control message, from the first set of transmission parameters to the second set of transmission parameters in accordance with a parameter switching timeline for the dynamic transmission parameter adaptation.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a network entity may operate using multiple operation modes, where different operation modes are associated with different energy consumption. A network entity may provide one or more user equipment (UE) with a set of operation modes, and each operation mode of the set of operation modes may be selectable for communications between the one or more UEs and the network entity for associated time intervals. The network entity and one or more UEs may communicate using a first operation mode, and the network entity may provide an indication of a second operation mode (e.g., a lower power mode). Based on the indication of the second operation mode, the one or more UEs and the network entity may communicate according to the second operation mode for the time interval associated with the second operation mode.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a base station and multiple user equipment (UEs) may participate in a federated learning operation in which each UE may transmit an unencoded uplink signal to the base station indicating one or more parameters associated with updating a local model at the UE. The base station may aggregate and average the received parameters to update a global model at the base station. Additionally, each UE that transmits an unencoded uplink signal may transmit reporting information associated with the unencoded uplink signal indicating that the unencoded uplink signal is transmitted or that a downlink control information was received. The base station may use the reporting information to determine an averaging value with which to average the aggregation of the received parameters.

A user equipment (UE) may receive a first indication of a first number of antenna ports for which the UE may report channel state information (CSI), and a second indication of a second number of antenna ports on which the UE may measure CSI reference signals (CSI-RSs). The second number may be less than the first number. The UE may receive a third indication of one or more neural networks to be used by the UE for determination of the CSI associated with the first number. The UE may determine the CSI using the one or more neural networks and using measurements made by the UE on the second number as inputs to the one or more neural networks. The UE may transmit a report including the CSI associated with the first number determined via the one or more neural networks.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling from a network entity scheduling a set of multiple periodic tracking reference signals (TRSs) and indicating a transmission power level for the periodic TRSs. For example, the control signaling may be received via radio resource control (RRC). The UE may receive a downlink control information (DCI) message from the network entity indicating an adjustment to the transmission power level and a resource for an aperiodic TRS. The UE may monitor the resource for the aperiodic TRS in accordance with the indicated adjustment to the transmission power level. The UE may transmit a message to the network entity indicating a measurement of the aperiodic TRS based on the adjustment to the power level. The adjustment to the power level may apply to one or more of the set of multiple periodic TRSs.
