    摘要: A membrane filtration module having a plurality of permeable, hollow membranes is disclosed. In use, a pressure differential is applied across the walls of the permeable, hollow membranes when immersed in a liquid suspension containing suspended solids. Some of the liquid suspension passes through the walls of the membranes to be drawn off as clarified liquid or permeate, and at least some of the solids are retained on or in the permeable, hollow membranes or otherwise as suspended solids within the liquid suspension. The module has a shell or similar structure that at least partially surrounds the membrane module and substantially effects retaining at least portion of fluid flowed into the membrane module.

    摘要: When changing a dopant species in an implantation tool, typically a clean process is performed to reduce cross-contamination, which is considered a major issue in implant cycles applied in advanced CMOS processes. Especially, the employment of an implanter previously used for heavy ions may generate increased cross-contamination when subsequently used for boron or phosphorus implants at moderate energies. A clean implant process using xenon gas may effectively reduce this cross-contamination at shorter process times compared to a conventional argon clean step.

The device comprises a disposable electrochemical cell, such as a thin layer electrochemical cell, containing a reagent capable of being reduced by hemoglobin. A suitable fluid sample that may be analyzed according the present invention is whole blood. If the hemoglobin to be analyzed is present in red blood cells, a lysing agent may be added to the sample to release the hemoglobin prior to analysis.
