Abstract:
A method comprises storing real-time multimedia data in a plurality of tracks and/or track subsets; and identifying one or more multi-track groups, each multi-track group being associated with a relationship among one or more of the plurality of tracks and/or track subsets.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for coordinating user terminals are disclosed. A user terminal may receive a user terminal identifier and a sensor identifier from a user terminal, determine a group topology based on the user terminal identifier and the sensor identifier to identify a spatial relationship relative to the user terminal, receive a media signal, and identify a subsection of the media signal. The user terminal also may generate subsection information to assign a subsection of the media signal to the user terminal corresponding to the spatial relationship, and may communicate the subsection information to the user terminal.
Abstract:
To control advertisement or other media content placement in content, content owners or other interested parties may include ad or media content placement metadata in the content item. Media content placement metadata may provide specifications such as a maximum media content (e.g., ad) duration, media content rating, media content size, payment information, placement location on a screen (i.e., for videos or images) and the like. The media content metadata may be extracted and used to retrieve matching media content such as advertisements for inclusion during play of a corresponding content item.
Abstract:
Methods, devices and systems for effective and improved video data scalable coding and/or decoding based on Fine Grain Scalability (FGS) information are disclosed. A method for encoding video data is shown, comprising obtaining video data; generating a base layer picture based on the obtained video data, the base layer picture comprising at least one slice, the slice corresponding to a region within the base layer picture; and generating at least one enhancement layer picture corresponding to the base layer picture, wherein the at least one enhancement layer picture comprises at least one FGS slice corresponding to a region within the enhancement layer picture, wherein the region to which the at least one of said FGS-slices corresponds is different from the region to which the slice in the base layer picture corresponds, encoding the base layer picture and the at least one enhancement layer picture resulting in encoded video data.
Abstract:
A signaling method and device for use in stream switching in which GDR random access points are used. In order to indicate the GDR switching points in the bitstreams, a Sync Sample Information Box, which is contained in a Sync Sample Box, is used to provide information of such GDR switching points. The information also includes which slice group is the isolated region and which slice group is the leftover region, if slice groups are applied in encoding. The signaling method can be used in video data transmission using Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP), and a Session Description Protocol (SDP) can be used to convey information indicative of the characteristics of the bitstreams.
Abstract:
A system, method and computer program tangibly embodied in a memory medium for implementing motion skip and single-loop decoding for multi-view video coding. In various embodiments, a more efficient motion skip is used for the current JMVM arrangement by 8×8 or 4×4 pel disparity motion vector accuracy, while maintaining the motion compensation process that is compliant with the H.264/AVC design regarding hierarchical macroblock partitioning. Adaptive referencing merging may be used in order achieve a more accurate motion skip from one inter-view reference picture. In order to indicate whether a picture is to be used for motion skip, a new syntax element or syntax modification in the NAL unit header may be used.
Abstract:
A system and method for predicting an inter-layer predicted slice of image data from at least two different reference layers, where the inter-layer predicted slice of image data itself resides on yet another layer, different from either of the two reference layers. At least one coded block from the inter-layer predicted slice of image data is encoded with an indication, indicating to a decoder that the at least one coded block is to be inter-layer multi-predicted from the at least two different reference layers. Identifications and corresponding prediction weights of the at least two different reference layers are also signaled to the decoder either in the coded block itself, or in the inter-layer predicted slice of image data.
Abstract:
A method for signaling ROI scalability information in a file format. The present invention provides an efficient signaling of ROI scalability information in the file format, wherein the signaling comprises providing the geometrical information of a ROI and an indication to identify the ROI each coded data unit is associated with within a tier or layer.
Abstract:
In a method of encoding/decoding a video sequence, which is composed of video frames, at least one video frame is divided into a set of coding blocks, and at least one of the coding blocks is encoded by intra-coding. Then a first reliable region that comprises at least one intra-coded coding block is determined, and the first reliable region in the video sequence is encoded such that creation of an information dependency between the first reliable region and coding blocks outside the first reliable region is prevented.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and a system for verifying a match between states of a first video processor and a second video processor, wherein one of said first and second video processors is a video encoder utilizing predictive video encoding and the other one of said first and second video processors is a video decoder capable of reproducing a decoded bit stream from an encoded bit stream generated by said video encoder.
