    摘要: An apparatus for detecting chemical substances which is high in sensitivity and selectivity is provided. An organic acid or an organic acid salt is used to generate an organic acid gas from an organic acid gas generator 3 to be mixed with a sample gas for introduction into an ion source 4 for ionization, thereby obtaining a mass spectrum by a mass analysis region 5. A data processor 6 determines the detection or non-detection of a specific m/z of an organic acid adduct ion obtained by adding a molecule generated from the organic acid to a molecule with specific m/z generated from a target chemical substance to be detected based on the obtained mass spectrum. When there is an ion peak with the m/z of the organic acid adduct ion, the presence of the target chemical substance to be detected is determined, and an alarm is sounded. False detection can be prevented.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to obtain an apparatus and a method for the detection of chemical agents which are suitable for detecting sulfur mustard and lewisite 1 and are satisfactory from the viewpoint of the speed of detection of chemical agents, the reduction of the rate of wrong information, the specification of the kinds of the chemical agents, and an unmanned continuous-monitoring apparatus. In the present invention, the detecting apparatus comprises a sample introduction section 1 into which a sample is introduced to be heated, an ionization section 2 in which the sample from the sample introduction section is ionized, a mass spectrometry section 3, and a computer 6 for data analysis. When predetermined signals characteristic of sulfur mustard or lewisite 1 are observed, it becomes possible to specify the sample.

    摘要: A mass spectrometer includes a linear multipole electrode, an auxiliary electrode that applies a DC potential on the center axis of the linear multipole electrode, and a DC power supply that supplies a DC power to the auxiliary electrode. The DC potential slope formed on the center axis of the multipole electrode is changed according to the measuring condition. The ejection time of ions can be adjusted optimally by adjusting the potential slope so as to satisfy the measuring condition. If the ejection time of ions is shortened, confusion of different ion information items that might otherwise occur on a spectrum can be avoided. If the ejection time of ions is lengthened, detection limit exceeding can be avoided and ions can be measured efficiently, thereby highly efficient ion measurements are always assured.

    摘要: An MS/MS spectrometric analysis method obtains throughput and mass resolving power of precursor ions. In a mass spectrometer, ions, which are introduced and accumulated in an ion trap unit, are resonance-extracted mass-selectively. A profile of precursor ions at the m/z axis of the ion trap and a profile at the mass analyzer portion, which performs mass analysis of the ions extracted from a collision induced dissociation portion, is obtained by performing a measurement when the injection energy to the collision induced dissociation portion is low, and when the injection energy to the collision induced dissociation portion is high. The profile at the m/z axis of the ion trap of the obtained two-dimensional spectrum is substituted with the profile at the m/z axis of the mass analyzer portion. In this way, the m/z of both the precursor ions and the fragment ions can be determined with high mass resolving power.

    摘要: The present invention achieves accurate quantitative determination without reducing measurement throughput and also without having to add a multi-component reference standard. An analytical instrument of the present invention for determining the concentration of a target compound contained in a target sample includes: a means for ionizing a mixture having a specific compound added to the target sample; a means for performing mass analysis on resulting ions; and a database that stores dependence of signal intensity on the concentration of a specific matrix component for each of the target compound and the addition compound, wherein the database is used to calibrate the concentration of the target compound from a signal derived from the target compound and a signal derived from the addition compound, each signal obtained by the mass analysis means. The present invention achieves a multi-component analyzer using low-cost, high-throughput mass analysis, as compared to conventional technique.
