摘要: An device for Raman spectroscopy such as surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) is disclosed herein. Various embodiments may be utilized to prepare a SERS substrate using several deposition techniques such as pulsed laser deposition. Some embodiments optimize coverage, volume, or elements of SERS active metals. The method is a single step inexpensive method for preparing a SERS active substrate. In some embodiments a coating layer underneath the SERS active metals is utilized for additional enhancements.

摘要: A method of forming nanometer sized fine particles of functional ceramic from a bulk functional ceramic, particularly fine particles of phosphorous ceramics from a bulk phosphor material is disclosed. The method relies on irradiation of a bulk phosphorous ceramic in a liquid with an ultrashort-pulsed-laser-fragmentation beam to thereby form nanometer sized particles of the phosphorous ceramic. The method is unique in that the generated particles retain the chemical and crystalline properties of the bulk phosphorous ceramic. The generated solutions are stable colloids from which the particles can be isolated or used as is.

摘要: A method of producing compound nanorods and thin films under a controlled growth mode is described. The method involves ablating compound targets using an ultrafast pulsed laser and depositing the ablated materials onto a substrate. When producing compound nanorods, external catalysts such as pre-deposited metal nanoparticles are not involved. Instead, at the beginning of deposition, simply by varying the fluence at the focal spot on the target, a self-formed seed layer can be introduced for nanorods growth. This provides a simple method of producing high purity nanorods and controlling the growth mode. Three growth modes are covered by the present invention, including nanorod growth, thin film growth, and nano-porous film growth.

摘要: A fume hood system having a decommissioned mode. A fume hood may be required to maintain a minimum flow from its enclosure holding fume type substances via an exhaust external to the hood. However, if the fume hood is considered not in use or not containing fume type substances, it may be put into a decommissioned mode not necessarily having a flow requirement. This mode may be entered by pressing a sequence of buttons on a monitor, operating a switch, receiving a signal from a building management system, or the like, provided that certain criteria for non-use are met by the fume hood. The decommissioned mode may also be entered or exited automatically. Status of the fume hood, as to in-use or decommissioned, may be reported to a building management system for monitoring, reporting, and/or command purposes.

摘要: Decentralized cryptocurrency for use in an application ecosystem. The cryptocurrency uses blockchain technology and a distributed ledger to track performance and transactions. The blockchain uses multiple supernodes to maintain its decentralized data tracking system. Each supernode works as a mining node to verify all transactions. Using a cryptocurrency based on blockchain technology reduces fraud, increases privacy and increases data transparency. The application ecosystem allows for the free flow of the cryptocurrency between applications. Applications include, without limitation, advertising applications, gaming applications, charity applications, and educational applications as part of the application ecosystem.

摘要: The present invention relates to a device for acquiring electricity utilization information which comprises a data acquisition and processing circuit configured to detect an operation parameter about a coupleable power supply circuit; a non-isolated power supply configured to convert an AC power into a DC power to supply an appropriate operation voltage to the data acquisition and processing circuit; a data communication module configured to modulate the detected operation parameter onto a predetermined frequency, wherein the modulated operation parameter is transmitted with a predetermined data transmission rate, and the predetermined frequency is higher than the predetermined data transmission rate such that the transmitted operation parameter can be demodulated; and an isolation component configured to provide electrical isolation and signal transmission isolation to perform a coupling isolation for the modulated operation parameter. The device not only can achieve divided measurement of electricity utilization, but also has the advantage of smaller volume.
