摘要: Embodiments include a head-worn display including a display panel sized and positioned to produce a field of view to present digital content to an eye of a user, and a processor adapted to present the digital content to the display panel such that the digital content is only presented in a portion of the field of view, the portion being in the middle of the field of view such that horizontally opposing edges of the field of view are blank areas. The processor is adapted to shift the digital content into one of the blank areas to adjust the convergence distance of the digital content and thereby change the perceived distance from the user to the digital content.

摘要: A method, includes pre-setting a geo-spatial location where content will be displayed to a user of a see-through head-worn display, establishing a region proximate the geo-spatial location; and causing a marker recognition system of the head-worn see-through display to activate when data indicates that the see-through head-worn display is within the region, wherein the marker recognition system monitors a surrounding environment to identify a marker that will act as a virtual anchor for the presentation of the content.

摘要: Aspects of the present invention relate to a compact optics module for a head mounted display including a DLP image source comprising a polarized light source providing illumination light, a flat reflective polarizer to reflect the illumination light toward the DLP image source and transmit image light, wherein the illumination light is provided at an angle to the DLP, a quarter wave retarder to change the polarization state of the illumination light as it is reflected by the DLP image source thereby providing image light, at least one light trap to absorb a portion of off-state image light, a lens element to provide a viewable field of view of on-state image light in an image displayed by the DLP image source, and a combiner to reflect the on-state image light toward a user's eye and provide a see-through view of a surrounding environment.

摘要: A method includes receiving a personally selected geo-spatial location from a sender of digital content for the presentation of the digital content in a recipient's head-worn see-through display, and presenting, based on data indicative that the user is near the geospatial location, the digital content in the head-worn see-through display such that the digital content is perceived by the recipient to be associated with a physical attribute proximate the geo-spatial location.
