    摘要: Digital video data is encryptically processed and then subjected to an encoding procedure with orthogonal transform to produce a coded video signal. A representative value of luminance of pixels of the digital video data is obtained for each of pixel blocks having a predetermined number of pixels, each pixel block corresponding to a unit of data subjected to the encoding procedure, as a quantized integer for each pixel block by using a specific function with the stored luminance data as a parameter. It is determined whether the quantized integer of the representative value for each pixel block is a multiple of a preset integer N of two or larger, and, if not, the stored luminance data are rewritten with a specific requirement giving the least range of change in gradation so that the quantized integer becomes a multiple of the integer N, whereas the stored luminance data remain unchanged if the quantized integer is a multiple of the integer N, thus the digital video data being encryptically processed. The encryptically processed digital video data is encoded with orthogonal transform to produce a coded video signal. The coded video signal is decoded. A second representative value of luminance data of the decoded signal is obtained as a quantized integer for each pixel block by using the specific function with the luminance data as the parameter. The quantized integer of the second representative value is divided by the integer N. It is determined that the video data has been tampered with when remainders of division meet predetermined tamer criteria.

    摘要: An image-sensing device has pixel areas for outputting CCD signals of plural channels, and an adjusting portion for adjusting a level of each channel of the CCD signals outputted from the pixel area. A first channel CCD signal is provided from a pixel area 11a, a horizontal OB area 15a, a slide shift area 12a, and an HCCD 13a. A second channel CCD signal is provided from a pixel area 11b, a horizontal OB area 15b, a slide shift area 12b, and an HCCD 13b. Both of the first and second CCD signals are supplied to the adjusting portion with a reference signal added. The adjusting portion controls CCD signal of each channel by making the level of reference signal the same. The variation of the shift efficiency of electric charge in the border of pixel areas 11a and 11b for each channel, and in the slide shift areas 13a and 13b can be compensated.

    摘要: An optical disc is produced. A first recording layer is formed on a first substrate having a thickness of 0.6 mm±30 μm, so that the first recording layer has first data pits formed concentrically or spirally in compliance with the DVD-ROM specifications, the first data pits including 14T pits, T being a reference clock cycle. A first reflective film is formed on the first recording layer, so that the first reflective film has a thickness in the range from 30 nm to 140 nm and has a relationship of 2.3≦Pw /Tf≦14 with the first reflective film, wherein Pw is a pit width of each 14T pit at a middle section of the first substrate and Tf is a thickness of the first reflective film, the middle section being located between a top section and a bottom section of the first substrate in a thickness direction thereof, a distance from the top section to the middle section and another distance from the middle section to the bottom section being equal to each other. A second recording layer is formed on a second substrate having a thickness of 0.5 mm±30 μm and having a first surface and an opposing second surface, so that the second recording layer has second data pits formed on the first surface concentrically or spirally in compliance with the BD-ROM specifications. A second semi-transparent reflective film is formed on the second recording layer. A transparent layer having a third and an opposing fourth surface is formed over the second reflective film at the third surface, the fourth surface allowing a laser beam to pass therethrough in reproduction from at least either the first or the second data pits. The first and second substrates are bonded to each other so that the first reflective film and the second surface of the second substrate face each other.

    摘要: Reflected light caused by reflection of a laser beam at a first layer of an optical disc is converted into a main signal. Reflected light caused by reflection of the laser beam at a second layer of the optical disc is converted into a sub signal. An address of a currently-accessed position in the first layer is detected from the main signal. A reference address in the first layer corresponds to a boundary between a signal recorded area and a signal unrecorded area in the second layer. A specified address in the first layer corresponds to a position radially separated from the position at the reference address by an allowable range. A misalignment between tracks on the first and second layers is concluded to be within the allowable range in cases where the sub signal substantially takes a reference level when the detected address reaches the specified address.

Test signals are recorded and reproduced on and from a section in a trial write area in the first recording layer. A region in the first recording layer is illuminated with the laser beam having a power equal to a second erasing power value to be subjected to signal erasure before the test signals are recorded and reproduced on and from the section in the trial write area. The region includes the section in the trial write area. The second erasing power value is equal to the first erasing power value multiplied by a coefficient in the range of 1.5 to 3.
