摘要: A method of predicting an unintentional leak in a respiratory system during a sleep session includes causing, during the sleep session, pressurized air to be delivered from a respiratory device to a user via a conduit coupled to a user interface. The method also includes receiving historical first data associated with pressurized air delivered from the respiratory device during one or more prior sleep sessions; receiving current first data associated with the pressurized air being delivered from the respiratory device during the sleep session; receiving historical second data associated with the user during one or more prior sleep sessions; and receiving, via one or more second sensors, current second data associated with the user during the current sleep session. The method determines, a likelihood that an unintentional leak in the respiratory system will occur within a predetermined amount of time.

摘要: An arrangement and a process filter out at least one gas from a gas mixture. A filter unit (4) of the filter arrangement comprises an inlet and an outlet and is adapted to filter the gas out of the gas mixture while the gas mixture flows through the filter unit (4). The filter unit (4) takes up the gas and heats up in the process. A filter temperature sensor (46, 46.2) of the filter arrangement is adapted to measure at least once an indicator of the temperature in a first measuring area (MP, MP.2) inside the filter unit (4). Depending on the measured temperature, a message is generated and output in a form perceptible by a human being. This message includes information about the current state of the filter unit (4).

摘要: A cooling element for use within a cooling device of a closed-circuit respirator, includes an element housing, which has a liquid-tight cap and is filled with a coolant, which has a melting point below 50° C., especially below 45° C., preferably below 40° C. A sensor element is arranged in contact with the coolant within the element housing such that the sensor element can be moved in a direction of the gravity acting on the sensor element in the liquid state of the coolant during the use of the closed-circuit respirator by a user of the closed-circuit respirator.

摘要: Breathing assistance apparatus includes a gases supply unit adapted to, in use, deliver a stream of pressurised gases from an outlet. The gases supply unit is adapted to vary the pressure of the stream of pressurised gases. A supply path includes a flexible self-supporting gases transportation pathway having a first end connected to the outlet so that the gases transportation pathway receives the stream of gases and conveys the gases to a patient. A patient interface is connected to the second end of the gases transportation pathway receives a stream of gases. At least one sensor measures at least one information parameter of the supply path. A control system associated with the gases supply unit receives the information parameter. The control system contains reference data, and compares the received data to reference data, and determines a supply path based on the comparison.

摘要: Systems for evaluating the respiratory function of an individual using forced oscillation technique (FOT) oscillometry include a blower controlled so as to apply FOT pressure oscillations on top of a low amplitude offset pressure. A controller continually adjusts the rotational speed of the blower to maintain a targeted time-varying pressure profile in the breathing air provided to the patient.

摘要: A ventilator system including an oxygen delivery cylinder, an air delivery unit, connecting tubes, and a digital display unit. The system further includes a Y connector configured to mix air and oxygen, to form a gas and pass said gas towards an outlet of the system. A water manometer that is configured to monitor a pressure of the gas in the system and blow off the excess pressure of the gas. A solenoid valve that is configured to adjust an end respiratory pressure obtained from a breathing device connected to the outlet of the system. The pressure of the gas being instantly delivered to the breathing device is measured by water manometer from a dead space near the outlet, thereby enabling a dual monitoring of the gas pressure being delivered to the breathing device.

摘要: A negative pressure respiratory treatment hood for human medical patients. A rigid hood, preferably of unitary fabrication from a clear material, is positioned over the patient's head. The patient's body extends out of an opening in a front wall of the hood. A hinged door may be attached to the front wall of the hood, and is closed and partially closes the opening, and a shroud is sealing connected to the hood and is draped over the patient so as to form a pressure seal. A negative pressure source is connected to the hood and forms a negative pressure environment around the patient's head. Access openings have a resilient material across them, with small openings in the resilient material, to permit access to the patient by medical personnel and/or medical equipment.

摘要: The CPAP machine override monitoring device comprises an air chamber, a diaphragm, a compression head, a push rod, a connecting rod, a crank, a motor, an ON/OFF control, a speed control, one or more batteries, and an enclosure. The device may be adapted to simulate the inhalations and exhalations of a human such that a CPAP machine coupled to the device may operate without generating an alarm. As a non-limiting example, the device may override the CPAP machine's monitoring of air pressure and/or pressure changes such that the CPAP machine may be tested for extended periods of time. The air chamber may replace a CPAP mask at the end of a CPAP tube. The diaphragm may produce the pressure changes within the air chamber that simulate normal breathing with no leaks.
