摘要： A pouch for containing a food product such as shredded cheese, and a novel method and apparatus for forming, filling and sealing the pouch. The method involves providing one or more webs of material to define a pair of walls for the pouch, orienting the web material so that the walls are substantially vertical, with the web having a horizontal longitudinal axis; providing interengageable strips of reclosable fastener material along the web adjacent the lower edges of the walls; forming vertical side seals; filling the pouches through their open bottoms while in inverted orientation; and sealing the bottoms of the pouches. Each of the strips of reclosable fastener material has one or more fastener members thereon. A peelable seal is provided between the product contained in the interior of the pouch and the reclosable fastener members. The peelable seal is preferably formed on the fastener strip material. The peelable seal is sealed prior to filling of the pouches so that product cannot contact the fastener members, and the fastener members are outside of the hermetic seal area. The pouch is preferably provided with a hole above the fastener members to receive a display hanger, and has a line of perforation above the fastener members and above the hole to facilitate removal of the upper portion of the pouch.

摘要： This invention relates to a snap zipper, a bag with a snap zipper, manufacture method and apparatus for a bag with a snap zipper, and bagging method and apparatus for a bag with a snap zipper. A hot-welded portion of the snap zipper comprising a male member and a female member is formed of ionomer resin or random copolymer resin of ethylene - acrylic acid. At least one tape with a pair of snap zipper half-members and a base film are supplied and passed through guide rollers for being placed one above the other, followed by hot-welding the tapes with snap zipper half-members and the base film to each other to form a film with a snap zipper. The film with a snap zipper is guided by a guide member such that the pair of snap zipper half-member are intermeshed to form a tubular film. The tubular film is sealed off with intervals of a predetermined distance perpendicularly to the lengthwise direction thereof. A desired packed material is then supplied into the tubular film sealed at the bottom end through an opening which is defined in forming the tubular film. The resulting bag can be opened by tearing the end of the bag by hands along a cut-line formed on the opening side relative to the snap zipper.

摘要： A method of forming a recloseable package using special profile strips, the strips themselves and a resulting package are disclosed. The profile strips have a flange element and a recloseable element, and two mated profile strips are provided with a heat barrier.The method comprises the steps of providing mated top and bottom profile strips, providing top and bottom package films on opposite sides of the mated strips and applying heat and pressure to the films adjacent the flanges sufficient to simultaneously form heat seals respectively between the top film and the top profile strip flange and between the bottom film and bottom profile strip flange. The heat barrier may comprise a thickened flange element, buffer strip or a coextrusion of high temperature resin on the inside layer of the flange element. The heat barrier prevents the flanges from fusing together during the formation of flange-film seals.
