摘要: The present invention is directed to an embossed, three-dimensionally imaged nonwoven fabric, and more specifically, to an embossed, three-dimensionally imaged nonwoven fabric particularly suited for wipe applications. Further, the subsequent action of the entangling jets, which impart the three-dimensional images, affects the rigidity of the embossed images so as to provide a softer, more drapeable wipe.

摘要: An apparatus for making pressed nonwoven articles, which apparatus has first and second die members that are arranged to move towards each other. The first die has a support surface for supporting a blank material, and the second die has a press surface for pressing the blank material. The pressing step occurs when the two dies are disposed in an operation position. The support surface has a support surface material that has a first hardness, and the press surface has a press surface material that has a second hardness. The first and second hardnesses are different from each other. The apparatus and method of the invention enable blank articles to pressed and/or cut as intended without risk of having unpressed or uncut portions.

摘要: Absorbent articles comprising molded airlaid webs and other molded fibrous webs are disclosed. The molded webs can offer improved body fit, comfort, and/or improved fluid handling. Molded airlaid webs, for example, can be formed having a central longitudinal hump and flexure zones longitudinally removed from the central hump to provide good contact with the body and improved fit when the article is squeezed from the sides. Molding can be achieved when a binder material is activated by an energy source and the web is held against a molding substrate. Energy sources can include microwaves, heated air, heated metal surfaces, ultraviolet radiation, ultrasonic energy, and the like.

摘要: A raw material (12) comprising a mixture of a natural fiber and a thermoplastic fiber is supplied to the surface of the rotating rotary body (11). The natural and thermoplastic fibers are scattered toward the carrying surface of the conveyor belt (15) by the rotational force of the rotary body (11). An air blower (14) may direct pressurized air to the scattered raw material (14) in order to further effect separation of the natural and thermoplastic fibers. Consequently, the natural fibers and the thermoplastic fibers are deposited such that the relative concentration of the natural fibers and the thermoplastic fibers gradually and seamlessly changes or varies across the thickness or depth of the resulting molded fiber material (50).

摘要: A forming method for a fiber aggregate in which fibers are heated to be welded with each other includes a heating step of applying upward heated air to a bottom of a block of the fibers to pass the heated air therethrough and to cause the block of fibers to float, wherein at least parts of fibers are melted while the block of fibers float, and a compression step of compressing substantially in a vertical direction the heated block of fibers into a desired height. The compressed block of fibers is cooled to solidify melted portions of the fibers at portions where the fibers intersect with each other.
