The first and the second branch pipes are connected respectively to different parts of the fuel rail.

    摘要: A fluid pulse damper having increased dynamic range and sensitivity, being especially useful in suppressing pulsations in the fuel supply rail of an internal combustion engine. The damper is a longitudinal gas-filled plastic pillow having walls formed by opposed flexible short sides and opposed flexible long sides, and includes at least one internal self-contact element, and preferably a plurality of such elements. As the short sides flex, the elements make contact internally, shifting the damper into a different compression regime and extending the pressure/response over an increased range of pressures. A feature of some embodiments is that the inner surface within the contact elements is shifted into tension after the elements make contact, thereby stiffening the damper and increasing the damper's resistance to further deformation. The damper is formed of a plastic such as ultra-high molecular weight polyethylenes, high flow polyetherimides, or tubing grade polyphthalamides.

    摘要: A fuel-injection system includes at least one fuel distributor and at least one fuel injector. The fuel distributor is embodied as an autonomous component and has a plurality of valve seats having several inner longitudinal openings in which the fuel injectors may be inserted. The valve seats, by their ends facing away from a fuel-supply channel of the fuel distributor, end in a freely exposed manner. At these ends of the valve seats at least one retaining element in each case is premolded or formed for the loss-proof mounting of the particular fuel injector. This fuel-injection system is particularly suited for the use in mixture-compressing internal combustion engines having external ignition.

    摘要: A no-return loop fuel injection system supplies fuel from a fuel pump to an injector fuel rail, through a fuel line. A biased closed pressure control valve communicates with the fuel line and has a valve head preferably of a diaphragm type carrying a fuel side having first and second areas which are segregated and defined by a valve seat when the pressure control valve is closed. An opposite second side of the pressure control valve is exposed to a reference pressure and a closure biasing force. The pressure control valve opens when a hydraulic opening force induced by a fuel pressure exerted upon the first area, plus a fuel pressure exerted upon the second area, is greater than the net reference pressure and closure biasing forces. Preferably, the first area is smaller than the second area, thus manipulating the effects of the fuel pressures exerted upon the first and second areas with respect to opening the valve. When the pressure control valve is open, the system operating pressure exposed to both the first and second areas is sufficient to produce the hydraulic force necessary to keep the valve open. Preferably, the pressure control valve is part of a pressure valve assembly of a fuel pump module located inside a fuel tank. The pressure valve assembly preferably has a flow check valve orientated in a parallel flow configuration to the pressure control valve when the fuel pump is of a variable speed type, or, for systems utilizing constant speed pumps the check valve is replaced with a flow bypass orifice.

When removing the fuel injector from the fuel rail, reducing leaks by biasing a plunger of the check valve against a seat of the check valve in the fuel injector and biasing a plunger of the one-way flow inhibitor against a seat of the one-way flow inhibitor in the fuel rail.
