    摘要: A sensor includes contact springs placed in contact with electrode terminals on major surfaces of a sensor device. At least one of the contact springs includes a spring contact portion, a spring holding portion, a spring bent portion, and a spring connecting portion. The spring contact portion contacts an outer surface of one of the electrode terminals. The spring holding portion is turned from the spring contact portion and extends outside the spring contact portion so as to overlap the spring contact portion in the contacting direction. The spring bent portion is bent inwardly from the spring holding portion and extends at a given angle to the contacting direction. The spring connecting portion is bent from the spring bent portion and extends in the axial direction of the sensor. Such a structure enables the contact spring to be reduced in size and thickness without sacrificing a required mechanical strength thereof.

    摘要: A hyperboloid contact socket comprises a tubular body of conductive material having at one end an entrance aperture and cavity for receiving a mating pin terminal, and an integral termination extending from the opposite end of the tubular body. The tubular body contains a plurality of conductive wires attached at their inner ends to the inner surface of the tubular body at or near the bottom of the cavity by a press fit plug. The outer ends of the conductive wires are fastened to the tubular body by being wrapped around a reduced diameter section at the open end of the tubular body and secured by a press fit ring. The conductive wires are disposed within the tubular body in an angular disposition to form the shape of a single sheet hyperboloid.

The socket component includes a contact region, a first socket contact centrally located within the circular contact region, and a second socket contact radially offset from the first socket contact by a first distance. The plug component includes a plug having a plug face, a first plug contact centrally located substantially within the circular plug face, and an annular, elastically deformable conductor having a radius approximately equal to the first distance which functions as a second plug contact. The socket contact region is configured to mate with the plug face to provide electrical continuity, in a connected state, between the first socket contact and the first plug contact, and to provide electrical continuity between the second socket contact and the second plug contact.

    摘要: A low-insertion force electrical connector for implantable medical devices includes a housing with a pair of opposing sidewalls each with center openings oriented generally concentrically around a center axis. An inner coil is located in a recess with a coil axis generally co-linear with the center axis of the center openings. The inner coil includes an outer diameter less than a recess diameter, and an inner diameter greater than a center opening diameter. An outer coil is threaded onto the inner coil. The outer coil has an outer diameter less than the recess diameter, and an inner diameter less than the center opening diameter. The outer coil is radially expanded within the recess in response to engagement with contact rings on the implantable medical device, such that the outer diameter of the outer coil is at least equal to the recess diameter.
