摘要: Methods and systems are provided that facilitate sharing or a hand-off of program content or a user session (e.g., running within a computer application) of a user device such that a user can easily select and then switch devices on which program content is being viewed or on which a user session is being run without having to sift through a myriad of other devices such as remote discoverable devices on the same network that are not in close proximity to the user device. A user device determines which of a plurality of discovered devices from which a short range wireless signal including a defined key was received and provides a list of discovered devices with which a session may be shared over the computer network with the user device based on this determination.

摘要: A wireless device includes first and second transceivers for wireless communication and is operable to switch between first and second states, with the second state at least partly prohibiting communication by the first transceiver. The wireless device is configured to perform a control method which involves sharing of state data among wireless devices. According to the method, the wireless device receives, by the second transceiver, a state indicator and confidence data from one or more other wireless devices. The state indicator indicates a current state of the respective other wireless device, and the confidence data is indicative of a confidence of the current state. The control method sets the wireless device in the first or second state based on the state indicator and the confidence data.

摘要: Managing an association of a wireless device to an access point device of a wireless network is disclosed. A client device sends an association request frame to one or more access point devices that is directed to a target access point device. A network controller device receives an association request event from each access point device that received an association request frame. The network controller device can select a preferred access point device based on one or more steering parameters of the associated request events. The network controller device sends the target access point device the preferred access point device as indicated by one or more preferred access point device parameters. The target access point device sends an association response frame to the client device that indicates the preferred access point device so as to steer the client device to the preferred access point device.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support resource utilization based event triggering. A wireless node in a wireless communications system may establish a connection with a core network via a path that includes one or more relay nodes. The wireless node may determine that a network load associated with one or more paths between the wireless node and the core network has changed, or that a difference between two or more network loads of different paths has changed. Based on such a determination, the wireless node may transmit a report to the network. In some cases, the network may receive the report from the wireless node, and may initiate a path change based on the report.

摘要: The present invention relates to a system and method for determining user throughput in a cell sector of a cellular network. The method includes estimating a number of physical resource blocks (PRBs) available for a user in the cell sector at a given frequency, estimating data throughput per PRB in the cell sector at the given frequency, wherein data throughput per PRB in the cell sector includes a plurality of PRB values across a plurality of parts of the cell sector respectively, estimating a product of the number of PRBs and data throughput per PRB in the cell sector at the given frequency, to generate user throughput data at the given frequency in the plurality of parts of the cell sector, and summing a plurality of user throughput data computed at corresponding plurality of frequencies to generate an overall user throughput in the plurality of parts of the cell sector.

摘要: A mesh network includes domain(s) of multiple nodes interconnected through links and in which there are gateway(s) connecting a domain to another network. The domain(s), their multiple nodes, and their links are part of a topology. A set of primary and backup routing paths, each including an ST that includes the selected gateway and route to that selected gateway for nodes in the domain, for a selected one of the gateway(s) is accessed or determined. Schedule(s) to be used by node(s) in the mesh network over one or more scheduling cycles are accessed or determined. Based on status of link(s) between nodes and on the schedule(s), switching is performed to a selected one of the primary or backup routing paths for the selected gateway. Routing in the mesh network is caused to be modified based on the selected routing path. Information is sent to nodes for the paths and schedules.
