摘要： A backplane and a communications device are disclosed. The backplane includes: at least one fixing plate, multiple connectors, and multiple flexible cables, where signal connection is implemented between corresponding connectors by means of the flexible cables, each of the connectors is provided with a housing and multiple signal pins installed on the housing, and the housing is installed on the fixing plate and is provided with a jack for insertion of a connector of a subcard in the communications device; one end of each signal pin is inserted into the jack, and the other end is connected to each flexible cable. When the communications device provided with the backplane transmits a high-rate signal, transmission quality and a transmission rate are relatively high.

摘要： A cable assembly including first and second header connectors. The first header connector has mating and loading sides and includes electrical contacts. The mating side is configured to mate with a first module connector. The second header connector has mating and loading sides and includes electrical contacts. The mating side of the second header connector is configured to mate with a second module connector. The cable assembly also has a cable bundle including communication cables that extend between the loading sides of the first and second header connectors and that connect the electrical contacts of the first and second header connectors. The cables are substantially twist-free between the first and second header connectors when the first and second header connectors face in substantially opposite directions and the first and second module connectors have an orthogonal relationship.

摘要： There is provided an adapter for electrically interconnecting a first circuit substrate with a second circuit substrate. The adapter includes a first electrical connector which is operatively connected to the first circuit substrate. The first electrical connector mates with a corresponding second electrical connector which is operatively connected to the second circuit substrate. A longitudinal guide is provided with the adapter for receiving an edge of one of the first circuit substrate and the second circuit substrate. The longitudinal guide is positioned such that when the edge of one of the first circuit substrate and the second circuit substrate is received therein, relative translation of the first circuit substrate with respect to the second circuit substrate directs the first electrical connector and the second electrical connector together to thereby provide electrical engagement therebetween. The adapter would permit a first existing circuit substrate of given dimensions to be housed in an equipment enclosure intended for a second existing circuit substrate of larger dimensions than the first existing circuit substrate.
