摘要: The subject of the present disclosure is a new and distinct variety of miniature rose plant, named 'YANTAI', which is characterized by pale yellow blooms with a deeper yellow center, ranging from near Mimosa Yellow to near Empire Yellow with an occasional pale pink blush on the outer petals ranging from near French Rose to near Venetian Pink. Blooms of this rose are usually borne one to a stem with hybrid tea form but on occasion may be produced in sprays of 3 to 5 or more. The bush is vigorous, well-branched and produces moderate to heavy quantity of blooms.

摘要: A water heater is made by shielding the space between a tank and a jacket, which space is intended to include a control apparatus accessible from outside the jacket, by making and installing an insulating dam provided of flexible, deformable insulating material, removing corner position from the dam, slitting the block lengthwise with a slit which is surrounded by the block, thereby forming connected body portions, moving the body portions apart from each other, thereby forming an open frame, turning the resulting open frame inside out to form a foam dam, inserting the resulting foam dam around the control apparatus, placing the jacket over the dam and introducing liquid foam forming material into the space between the tank and the jacket.

摘要: The process comprises introducing the tubes in the form of horizontal layers (the generator can be positioned horizontally for this purpose), installing anti-vibratory bars on the layers, placing weights on the bars and checking the clearances between the tubes and the bars, so that the tubes falling outside the accepted tolerances can be replaced. This is followed by the installation of the layer of tubes immediately above it. This procedure is repeated until all the layers have been installed. The invention is used in the steam generators of nuclear power stations.

摘要: A method of forming and installing anti-vibration bars into a tube bundle of a steam generator is disclosed. The tube bundle comprises rows of tubes, each tube carrying a high temperature coolant. Each of the resultant anti-vibration bars has a tubular configuration and is disposed between adjacent rows of the tube bundle for stabilizing the tubes against vibration caused by fluids recirculating at high velocities through the steam generator. The method of this invention comprises the steps of inserting at least one anti-vibration bar between adjacent rows of the tube bundle and applying a pressurized fluid in the anti-vibration, thus expanding the anti-vibration bar to contact the tubes of the adjacent rows and to make a series of indentations therein. Typically, the pressure of the fluid is increased incrementally up to a maximum level set such that the configuration of the steam genrator tubes is not deformed. The resultant anti-vibration bar is a hollow member and has first and second series of indentations disposed on opposing sides thereof and spaced from each other a uniform distance corresponding to the spacing between adjacent tubes of a row. The indentations are configured similarly to the shape of the tubes to provide intimate contact there between and to support the tubes against vibration.

摘要: A necking-out tool for forming cylindrical nipples or necks on the circumferential surface of pipelines, containers and the like. The tool is provided with a screw plug having a hook-shaped forming head and a thrust sleeve fitted with a coaxial downholder flange cooperating with the forming head and the screw plug. The thrust sleeve has a hollow cylindrical interior corresponding to the forming head for the reception of the formed neck. A holding appliance resembling tongs is connected to the downholder flange and the thrust sleeve by a hinge. The holding appliance is adapted to be applied at right angles or from the side of the pipeline. One jaw of the tongs terminates at the hinge and the other jaw forms a trough-shaped support for the pipeline on the side opposite the hinge.

摘要: A boiler, in particular a hot-water or central-heating boiler, is made with elements defining on one side a component part of a fire duct and on the other side a component part of a water duct. This permits the elements to be cast without using sand cores, thus allowing more scope in design and permitting the use of light metals for higher heat transfer efficiency.

摘要: An improved header construction for a heat transfer apparatus is provided. The header includes a plurality of connected longitudinally stepped concentric annular rings each adapted to be coupled to the base of a hollow frustoconical member. The top end of each of the frustoconical members is secured to one tube of a plurality of concentric tubes proximal an end of that tube. A method of assembling a heat transfer apparatus utilizing an improved header in accordance with the above is also provided.
