Abstract: Techniques for modeling therapy fields for therapy delivered by medical devices are described. Each therapy field model is based on a set of therapy parameters and represents where therapy will propagate from the therapy system delivering therapy according to the set of therapy parameters. Therapy field models may be useful in guiding the modification of therapy parameters. As one example, a processor compares an algorithmic model of a therapy field to a reference therapy field and adjusts at least one therapy parameter based on the comparison. As another example, a processor adjusts at least one therapy parameter to increase an operating efficiency of the therapy system while substantially maintaining the modeled therapy field.

Abstract: A method includes obtaining training data for a plurality of patients of a patient population. The training data includes training blood glucose history data including treatment doses of insulin administered by the patients of the patient population and one or more outcome attributes associated with each treatment dose. The method also includes identifying, for each patient of the patient population, one or more optimum treatment doses of insulin from the treatment doses yielding favorable outcome attributes. The method also includes receiving patient-state information for the treated patient, determining a next recommended treatment dose of insulin for the treated patient based on one or more of the identified optimum treatment doses associated with the patients of the patient population having training patient-state information similar to the patient-state information for the treated patient, and transmitting the next recommended treatment dose to a portable device associated with the treated patient.

Abstract: Methods and systems relate to providing varying levels of detail about a pharmacy item to a patient information system based on the capabilities of the patient information system. An intercept device can receive an identifier associated with a pharmacy item based on a scanner reading a computer-readable code. The intercept device can recognize or determine the storage capabilities or limitations of the patient information system, for example by determining various medication data fields that the patient information system uses to store pharmacy item information. The intercept device can use the machine readable code to obtain pharmacy item information that is compatible with the patient information system based on those storage capabilities or limitations and can distribute that pharmacy item information to the patient information system.

Abstract: A device and method may determine whether a patient is projected to run out of a first prescription medication within a first window extending a first number of days ahead of a current day. A device may determine whether the patient is eligible to receive a refill of one or more second prescription medications within a second window extending a second number of days from a day when the patient is projected to run out of the first prescription medication. A device may send an electronic message to the patient with an option of a refill order of the first prescription medication and the one or more second prescription medications and receives a refill order of one or both of the first prescription and the one or more second prescriptions.

Abstract: An application for tracking symptom triggers affecting the microbiome stored on non-transitory computer readable media including an input module for inputting variables from a user in electronic communication with an output variable module, an analysis module for analyzing input variables and output variables, and an output module for presenting results to the user. A method of tracking triggers of symptoms affecting the microbiome in a user, by a user inputting data about nutrition, medication, lifestyle, symptoms due to cancer therapy, pain, and user defined metrics in an application stored on non-transitory computer readable media, performing an analysis on the data, and outputting a result from the data identifying daily activities that effect the user's symptoms and microbiome. A method of adjusting treatment of the microbiome of a patient.

Abstract: There is disclosed a method and a system for predicting the efficacy of one or more treatments. A completed questionnaire may be received from a patient requiring treatment. The responses to the questionnaire may be input to a machine learning algorithm (MLA). The MLA may have been trained using labelled patient data. A predicted efficacy of one or more treatments and a prototype corresponding to the patient may be received from the MLA. An interface may be output indicating the predicted efficacy of the one or more treatments and the prototype.

Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods of selecting treatment parameters values for treating skin lesions. A device may establish a treatment parameter selection model using a training dataset. The training dataset may include a plurality of examples. Each example may include a sample image of an example skin lesion to which a treatment is administered using an applicator. Each example may include a first label indicating success or failure of the treatment. Each example may include a second label corresponding to treatment parameters defining the treatment. The device may identify an input image. The device may determine that the input image corresponds to a skin lesion based on visual characteristics of the input image. The device may apply the treatment parameter selection model to the input image to output a recommended treatment to apply. The device may store an association between the input image and the recommended treatment.

Abstract: Prediction of a mix of complex communities of microorganisms includes a linear prediction, e.g. matrix-based, that is corrected using an interaction model, e.g. a matrix, learnt from reference true mix profiles and corresponding reference linear-predicted profiles. Reverse prediction makes it possible to determine a mix of samples to be made given a target mix profile.
