    摘要: A horizontal rotary drum in which the materials to be treated are introduced through a feed hopper together with a water flow admitted through treatment nozzles so as to form a suspension of water and materials is described. The horizontal rotary drum has inclined paddles that move forward the heavy materials deposited on the bottom of the drum towards an exit end where an extractor conveys them towards concentric screening means, a stop ring being arranged transversally inside the drum so as to leave only a peripheral annular passage having a height lower than the level of the suspension of water and materials present on the bottom of the drum so as to stop the lighter organic contaminants that are in the upper part of the suspension. Means for slightly inclining the axis of the rotary drum within a small angular interval, as well as with clod-breaking teeth for treating clayey materials are also described.

    摘要: A system and method for recycling a waste glass cullet includes a first screening station for separating large glass shards of approximately one inch in diameter from smaller glass shards in the cullet, a crusher to reduce the large glass shards to smaller glass shards smaller than approximately one inch in diameter, a second screening station to separate remaining large contaminants having a diameter of approximately one inch or greater from the cullet, a series of vacuum inlets disposed along a conveyor to remove light contaminants, a presoaking apparatus comprising a holding tank partly filled with a presoaking solution, a rotary washing apparatus comprising a drum with vanes disposed along an inner wall of the drum to toss the cullet in the washing solution, the vanes being oriented so that the cullet is tossed progressively forwardly toward a discharge outlet of the drum, to remove buoyant contaminants from the cullet, a dewatering apparatus to remove excess water from the cullet, and a dryer for reducing the moisture content of the cullet. The system and method may further include a second rotary crusher for reducing the cullet size to 12 mesh or smaller and a vibratory multi-deck screen to separate the crushed glass cullet into specified particle sizes. In the preferred embodiment the rotary drum washer for includes a rotating drum having one or more vanes disposed along an inner wall of the drum to toss the cullet in the washing solution, the vanes being oriented so that the cullet is tossed progressively forwardly toward a discharge outlet of the drum.

    摘要: An apparatus for refining clay material having a horizontally oriented rotating drum into which clay material and water are fed. The clay material and water form a slurry which is agitated by lifters within the drum. A series of adjustable lifters within the drum refine the slurry by lifting aggregates and rocks out of the slurry and discharging them out of the refiner. The refined slurry exits the drum through an opening in the drum. The refined slurry is then taken away from the drum for further processing.

    摘要: A discrete material washing apparatus comprises a structure mounting an elongate trough having an inlet and an outlet. A dished tray is mounted on the structure and shaped to feed into the inlet. The tray is to receive disposal of a cementitious mixture therein. A cylindrical screen has a net surface. The screen extends substantially along the length of the trough and is adapted for rotation. Water spray is provided to play on any mixture disposed onto the tray and passed through the inlet into the interior of the screen for size classification with smaller particles able to pass through the mesh of the screen surface into the trough and larger particles remaining in the screen. A first mechanism is provided to remove the smaller particles from the trough, and a second mechanism is provided to remove the larger particles from the interior of the screen through the outlet of the trough. A weir is provided in at least one longitudinal side of the trough for removal of the cementitious water therefrom. A power mechanism is provided to rotate the screen and operate the first and second removal mechanisms. A gate mechanism is provided for operation to close off the inlet of the trough, the gate mechanism is operable responsive to a pressure monitoring device surveying throughput of mixture into the screen.

    摘要: A hydrodynamic device for generating negative pressure excursions in a pulp slurry during fine screening, includes a plurality of half-foil members disposed on a substantially cylindrical outer surface of a rotor. The rotor is mounted within and co-axial with a substantially cylindrical screen having a circumferentially continuous apertured zone to define an annular screening chamber between the rotor and the screen. The half-foil members are collectively at least axially co-extensive with the apertured zone and have a leading edge which, also collectively, is inclined at a spiral angle relative to the axis of the rotor such that during rotation, the collective leading edge of the half-foil members conduct large particles downwardly through the screening chamber. A selection of hydrodynamic foil configurations is provided in order to adapt to a wide range of pulp types and screening conditions.

A front end plate and a rear end plate each having a doughnut-like shape are respectively provided at the front and rear ends the drain-off drum. A plurality of buckets are provided in the drain-off drum, and gutters are provided on the back side of upper end portions of the buckets. The gutters communicate with drain holes formed in the rear end plate. A fixed shoot is provided which extends through the drain-off drum to the classifying drum. The classifying drum has a cylindrical portion and a truncated-cone portion. A circumferential member of truncated-cone portion is made porous while a circumferential member of the cylindrical portion is formed of a wire netting. A screw is provided on the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical portion. The classifying drum is accommodated in semicylindrical fixed bath. A water washing sprayer is provided above the cylindrical portion.

    摘要: A machine is employed for recovering heavy metals, such as gold, from placer ore. The machine employs a cylindrical, annular outer drum mounted for rotation at an inclination to the horizontal and including at least one spiral vane extending the length of its inner surface. A cylindrical, annular inner barrel is mounted within the drum and has an upper fragmentation section, an intermediate trommel section, and a lower discharge section. A spray of water is directed into the inner barrel and a water spray bar is located in the annulus between the inner barrel and the outer drum. A sluice box is located to receive an input discharge from the upper end of the outer drum. The ore is separated into large tailings that are discharged from the lower end of the inner barrel and fine, light tailings from the outer drum. The heaviest and finest portions of the material are carried by a spiral on the inner surface of the outer drum and discharged into the upper end of the sluice box from the upper end of the outer drum. The sluice box includes a plurality of landings upon which heavy materials, such as gold, collect. The outer drum is subjected to vibration to aid in the recovery process.
