Abstract:
Disclosed is a high-resolution image reconstruction method using a focal underdetermined system solver (FOCUSS) algorithm. The method comprises the steps of: outputting data for an image of an object; downsampling the outputted data; transforming the downsampled data into low-resolution image frequency data; and reconstructing a high-resolution image from the transformed low-resolution image frequency data by applying focal underdetermined system solver (FOCUSS) algorithm.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for detecting a noise distribution of an image close to a true distribution, and detecting an edge of the image precisely and quickly based on the detected noise distribution without performing a smoothing process for the image, and a computer readable medium processing the method. The method of detecting an edge of an image includes the steps of: detecting a noise distribution of an object image; and detecting an edge of the image based on the detected noise distribution.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a device for mixing micro-fluids while pumping them or a device for pumping and simultaneously mixing the liquids and bio-molecules and a method for mixing and simultaneously pumping the liquids, and more particularly to a device for mixing and pumping micro-fluids having electrode pairs, in which each pair consists of two electrodes: an electrode pair having a first electrode and a second electrode with a greater width than the first electrode are disposed in parallel, provided on at least one internal face of a liquid channel and a method for mixing and pumping micro-fluids by applying an alternating current voltage to the electrode pair.According to the present invention, an alternating current electro-osmosis occurs near an electrode pair comprising a relatively narrow electrode and a wide electrode to produce complicate flow characteristics so that liquids are effectively mixed and simultaneously pumped in the fields of a small medical device or a small fluid device, etc.
Abstract:
A high output power amplifier with change of voltage transformation ratio of a transformer is disclosed. The high output power amplifier using a transformer installed to output leads thereof, which can increase dynamic range and efficiency thereof as voltage transformation ratio of the transformer is adjusted and load resistance is adjusted so as not to generate signal distortion phenomenon and not to decrease its efficiency.
Abstract:
Disclosed are electrodes for lithium secondary batteries having enhanced cycle performance and lithium secondary batteries comprising the same. More particularly, the present invention provides an electrode for lithium secondary battery with improved initial charge/discharge characteristics and cycle life characteristics at high temperature, which includes silane based additives as a constitutional component of the electrode and forms a passivation film during an initial charge/discharge process and, in addition, a lithium secondary battery comprising the above electrode.
Abstract:
A technique for managing a packet to be transmitted to a Mobile Station (MS) that performs Relay Station (RS) handover in a multi-hop relay Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) system is provided. In the BWA system, a Base Station (BS) includes a controller for determining whether to perform activecasting on an MS upon receiving an activecast request message; a scheduler for allocating a resource by taking into consideration a channel condition between the MS and a serving RS when activecasting is determined to be performed; and a transmitter for multicasting a packet, which is to be transmitted to the MS, to a target RS and the serving RS by using the allocated resource.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a gold nanoparticle (AuNP)-based peptide chip prepared by forming a monolayer of AuNPs onto a self-assembled monolayer constructed on a solid support, and then immobilizing a peptide on the AuNPs. The AuNPs can effectively amplify the mass signal of the peptide, thus making it possible to measure the mass change of the peptide in a simple and accurate manner. Also, when secondary ion mass spectrometric analysis (spectrum or imaging) is performed on the AuNP-based peptide chip, the activities of enzymes and related inhibitors can be effectively quantified. The disclosed invention enables various enzyme activities to be analyzed rapidly and accurately, and thus can provide an important method for disease diagnosis and new drug development through the elucidation of signaling and interaction mechanisms.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a novel antimicrobial peptide having excellent antimicrobial activities, its analogs and an antimicrobial composition comprising them. The antimicrobial peptide alternatively comprises basic amino acid residues and hydrophobic amino acid residues, and is able to penetrate into microbial cells and act against a wide variety of microorganisms.
Abstract:
A method for assigning a single frequency sub-channel to a plurality of MSs (Mobile Stations) in an OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system utilizing SDM (Spatial Division Multiplexing) with multiple transmit/receive antennas. In the method, a BS (Base Station) can effectively assign a pilot channel to estimate a downlink channel. The BS divides the single frequency sub-channel into a plurality of spatial channels, and sequentially assigns the plurality of spatial channels to the MSs having the maximum communication capacity, thereby transmitting signals of the MSs through the single frequency sub-channel.
Abstract:
A probe card is used in conducting a visual test for a target test object through simultaneous contact of the probe card with each and every electrode pad of the target test object. The probe card includes a plurality of probes composed of conductive wire strands and having elastically deformable contact parts so curved as to make contact with electrode pads of a target test object. The contact parts are oriented in one and the same direction and extend in a parallel relationship with one another. The probe card further includes a first insulating block for fixedly securing one end parts of the probes, a second insulating block for fixedly securing the other end parts of the probes and a mounting plate for holding the first and second insulating blocks in such a manner that the contact parts of the probes protrude outwardly.
