摘要: An LED package in which an LED chip a body has a cup part housing an LED chip. The cup part has a step formed in the outer circumference of the top thereof. A lens is mounted on the cup part, and has a flange extended downward from the outer circumference of the lens along the outside wall of the cup part to form a gap between the flange and the downward step of the cup part and to seal the gap from the outside. Resin material fills a space formed between the underside of the lens and the cup part and at least partially the gap formed between the step of the cup part and the lens flange. The resin material is prevented from leaking out of the LED package. The LED package of the invention prevents the creation of voids in the resin material surrounding the LED chip or the leakage of the resin material to the outside.

摘要: The invention relates to a total temperature probe for an aircraft and to a method of determining temperature by means of such a probe. The total temperature measurement probe comprises a base, an external face of which is intended to be mounted so as to be substantially coplanar with a skin of the aircraft, and a mast that projects from the base and supports an active part of the probe. The probe furthermore includes several temperature sensors placed on, the external face of the base and distributed around the mast. The method consists in determining the total temperature of the air surrounding the probe on the basis of the temperature measurement carried out in the active part (4) of the probe and on the basis of the maximum difference that exists between the measurements made by the temperature sensors.

摘要: One object of the present invention is to monitor water pipes regularly and to detect water leaks by using basic equipment and to provide a device that generates an alarm when a leak occurs. The present invention responds not only to minor leaks that occur naturally because, for instance, a water pipe is decrepit, but also responds to human-caused leaks, such as those that occur because a person forgets to turn off a water faucet or because of the failure of equipment such as a hot-water heater. The present invention is a leak-detection alarm system that is composed of two main parts: (1) a leak-detecting check valve that detects movements of a movable device that makes the same movement as the valve element of a check valve that is attached to a water pipe and performs switching, and that transmits as detection signals the movement of valve elements, and (2) a signal-processing device that analyzes detection signals transmitted by the leak-detecting check valve and actuates a leak-detection alarm. The leak-detecting check valve has a main valve and an ancillary valve. The main valve operates in response to a high rate of flow of fluid through the pipe, such as occurs when there is a large leak that corresponds to said human-cause leaks, and the ancillary valve operates in response to low rate of flow of fluid through a pipe, such as occurs when there is a small leak that occurs naturally.

摘要: A circuit board (14) on which the electronic components (2,3) providing power to a series of light sources (6) is positioned as near as possible to light sources in order to minimise parasitic energy losses which would be introduced by lengths of wiring. The light sources (5) are usually elongate tubular Cold Cathode Fluorescent Tubes arranged parallel to one another in a single plane and the circuit board (14) may be mounted directly over the light sources, towards one end of the tubes. Standard PCB board-to-board connectors (12) may be provided at an edge of the circuit board (14) and a further circuit board (10) provided with a series of conductive tracks may provide both a mechanical and electrical connection between the circuit board (14) and the light sources (5). A power distribution method is also disclosed in which both current and temperature of the light sources are monitored and regulated in order to extend the lifetime of the light sources (5) and to stabilize their brightness.
