Abstract:
A portable computer includes a computer main body, a display, a hinge part having a main body bracket coupled to the computer main body, a display bracket coupled to the display, and a hinge shaft tiltably coupled to one of the main body bracket and the display bracket, and a locking part having a separating unit which moves between a coupling position in which the locking unit connects the one of the main body bracket and the display bracket not coupled with to the hinge shaft with the hinge shaft to connect the main body bracket and the display bracket via the hinge shaft and to allow the display to tilt with respect to the computer main body, and a separating position in which the locking part separates the one of the main body bracket and the display bracket not coupled to the hinge shaft from the hinge shaft to allow the display to be separated from the computer main body. Accordingly, the display is easily separated from and coupled to the computer main body.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses for changing capacitance are provided. The apparatus may adjust a current supplied to a load capacitor according to the frequency of an input clock signal. When operating at a lower frequency, a capacitance may be increased such that noise immunity may be increased. When operating at a higher frequency, a capacitance may be decreased such that current consumption may be reduced.
Abstract:
A mobile apparatus includes a first body, a second body, a rotary adaptor including an accommodation portion to accommodate the second body, rotatably installed on the first body, and to move the second body to a position where the second body is stacked on the first body and a position where the second body is unfolded, first magnets disposed on the accommodation portion, and second magnets disposed on the second body so as to face the first magnets and having different polarity from the first magnets.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a scratch pad memory management device and a method thereof. The scratch pad memory management device divides a scratch pad memory into a plurality of unit blocks, maintains a memory allocation table corresponding to indices of the plurality of unit blocks in a main memory, and manages the scratch pad memory.
Abstract:
Databases of an active node and a standby node of a main memory database management system (MMDBMS) are managed so as to prevent loss of a transaction caused by failure of any one of the active node or the standby node. The MMDBMS is configured to prevent data mismatch between the active node and the standby node when failure of any one of the active node and the standby node occurs. In case of failure of one of the nodes, log information from the other node is obtained to recover the failed node.
Abstract:
Provided is a hardware acceleration apparatus, method and computer-readable medium efficiently processing multi-core synchronization. A processor core that fails to acquire a lock variable may be switched to a low power sleep mode and a waste of power may be reduced. Additionally, when a lock variable is returned, a wakeup signal may be transmitted to a processor core operated in the low power sleep mode, and the processor core may be activated.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an integrated circuit card which includes a central processing unit (CPU); a first memory block and a second memory block configured to operate responsive to a control of the CPU; and a high voltage generator block configured to generate a high voltage to be supplied to the first and second memory blocks. When bit lines of the first memory block are set by the high voltage, the CPU controls the high voltage generator block to supply the second memory block with the high voltage for a program operation of the second memory block during the program operation of the first memory block.
Abstract:
A hacking detecting device includes a metal line capacitor, a charge providing unit, a charge storing unit and a hacking deciding unit. The metal line capacitor has a first metal line and a second metal line. The charge providing unit periodically charges the metal line capacitor. The charge storing unit accumulates charges periodically stored in the metal line capacitor, and generates an output voltage corresponding to an amount of the accumulated charges. The hacking deciding unit determines whether the metal line capacitor is exposed based on the output voltage of the charge storing unit.

Abstract:
Provided is a method and apparatus for measuring a progress or a performance of an application program in a computing environment using a micro-architecture. An apparatus for thread progress tracking may select a thread included in an application program, may determine, based on a predetermined criterion, whether an execution scheme for at least one instruction included in the thread corresponds to an effective execution scheme in which an execution time is uniform or a non-effective execution scheme in which a delayed cycle is included and the execution time is non-uniform, and may generate an effective progress index (EPI) by accumulating an execution time of an instruction executed by the effective execution scheme other than an instruction executed by the non-effective execution scheme.
