Abstract:
An electronic element testing and supporting apparatus includes a circuit board, an outer frame, an inner frame, a plate and two locking devices. The outer frame is assembled on a second surface of the circuit board and has a plurality of outer frame. Two opposing outer frame rims are provided respectively with a slot having an accommodating opening and an accommodating hole. The inner frame is lodged in the outer frame. The plate is inserted into the slots via the accommodating openings of the two opposing outer frame rims. The locking device includes an elastic element disposed in the accommodating hole of the outer frame rim and a stopper. The elastic element abuts against the stopper, so that the stopper can be movably extended into the corresponding slot to stop the plate. Via this arrangement, the present invention avoids using screws to lock the plate and the inner frame.
Abstract:
An LED driving module suitable to drive a plurality of LED strings in parallel connection is disclosed. The LED driving module includes a voltage converting apparatus, a conduction voltage detecting apparatus, a reference voltage generating apparatus and a current-adjusting apparatus. The voltage converting apparatus produces a driving voltage according to a conduction voltage. The conduction voltage detecting apparatus detects the conducting states of the LED strings for producing a conduction voltage and an enabling signal. The reference voltage generating apparatus generates a first reference voltage according to the enabling signal. The current-adjusting apparatus produces a plurality of driving currents according to the first reference voltage, and the driving currents flow through the LED strings.

Abstract:
A method of operating a volume-filling structure, comprising sensing an impact event and expanding the volume-filling structure from a non-expanded state to an expanded state upon the sensed impact event. The volume-filling structure comprises an open celled material, a first end cap connected to one end of the open celled material and a second end cap connected to a second end of the open celled material. The volume-filling structure further includes an activation mechanism regulating expansion of the open celled material from the non-expanded state to expanded state in response to an activation signal, and the activation mechanism includes an actuator interfaced with the end caps. Embodiments may include triggering a pneumatic device to force the second end cap from the first end cap. Additionally, embodiments may include triggering a mechanical event to force the second end cap from the first end cap.

Disclosed are composite transparencies and methods for their production. The colored composite transparencies include a surface at least partially coated with a transparent tinted coating deposited from a coating composition comprising polymer-enclosed color-imparting particles.
Abstract:
An actuator is adapted to selectively extend and retract a bumper member, the actuator is mounted at least partially within a tubular frame rail member of the motor vehicle. The main frame rail member may be of a standard length or of a shortened length. By mounting the actuator inside the tubular frame rail member, the bending stiffness is more effectively impacted by the outer tube of the actuator. An additional tubular frame rail member is optionally attached to the main tubular frame rail member. The actuator is mounted at least partially within the tubular frame rail member and at least partially within the additional tubular frame rail member. The wall thickness and cross-sectional shape of the additional tubular frame rail members may be adjusted to obtain a desired bending stiffness including the effect of the outer tube of the actuator.
Abstract:
There is provided an inertial latching system which includes a first latch member configured to engage a second latch member at a junction point. The first latch member includes a latch pivot mounted to the base. One side of the latch pivot extends to form a first arm whilst a balancing mass is found at another side of the latch pivot. Joined to the first arm is a finger which provides a contact line ending in a proximal point. The second latch member has a contact surface which provides a contact point. The inertial latching system is configured such that the ratio of a first length to a second length is smaller than the ratio of a third length to a fourth length. The first length is defined as the distance from the proximal point to the junction point, the second length is defined as the distance from the proximal to the latch pivot, the third length is defined as the distance from the contact point to the junction point, and the fourth length is defined as a distance from the contact point to the actuator pivot.
