Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure present a composite material. In an example, the composite material may comprise: a carbon fiber composite and a surface treatment layer. The carbon fiber composite may comprise a core layer having a first side and a second side opposite to the first side, and a first set of two carbon fiber layers disposed over at least a portion of the core layer respectively on the first side and the second side. Each of the first set of the two carbon fiber layers may comprise carbon fibers aligned in a first direction in a plane. The surface treatment layer may be disposed on the carbon fiber composite.

The optically clear adhesive can adhere the glass panel to the backlight unit.

Abstract: Examples of hinge assemblies are described. In an example implementation, a hinge assembly includes hinge elements which are interconnected to move the hinge assembly between a folded position and an unfolded position. The hinge assembly further includes elastic members disposed between the hinge elements at a first side and a second side thereof. When the hinge assembly is moved from the unfolded position towards the folded position, elastic members at the first side are decompressed and elastic members at the second side are stretched. When the hinge assembly is moved from the folded position towards the unfolded position, elastic members at the first side are compressed and the elastic members at the second side are destretched.

Abstract: In one example, touchpad assembly is disclosed, which may include a bottom cover, a horizontal elastic member flexibly positioned on the bottom cover, a balancing bar disposed on the bottom cover and substantially parallel to the horizontal elastic member, and a metal dome. The metal dome may include a first end fixedly connected to the bottom cover via a first fixture, and a second end to hold the horizontal elastic member and the balancing bar such that the balancing bar is flexibly engaged with the bottom cover. The balancing bar, the metal dome, and the horizontal elastic member may control a flexure of a touchpad when the touchpad is pressed.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a sol-gel hybrid coating composition, comprising a sol-gel precursor, a polymer and a solvent, wherein the sol-gel precursor comprises tetraethyl orthosilicate and the polymer comprises polyurethane and polyacrylic. This disclosure also provides a coating process, comprising: subjecting a light metal to micro-arc oxidation treatment to form a first protection layer on the light metal, and coating the sol-gel hybrid coating composition onto the first protection layer to form a second protection layer. This disclosure further provides composite coating layers, comprising: a first layer obtained by micro-arc oxidation treatment, and a second layer obtained by dip coating with the sol-gel hybrid coating composition.

Abstract: Various examples provide a method of making a hydrophobic surface for an object. According to the method, a hydrophobic coating may be applied to an original surface of the object. A microstructure may be formed on the original surface of the object. The hydrophobic surface of the object may be obtained with the microstructure submerged by the hydrophobic coating. The microstructure may be a rough structure including micro-sized portions, and may have greater hardness than the hydrophobic coating.
