摘要: A plurality of sensor pixel circuits each including two photodiodes, one accumulation node accumulating charge corresponding to an amount of light, and a read transistor having a control terminal connected to the accumulation node are arranged in a pixel region. In accordance with a clock signal, when a backlight is turned on, a transistor turns on, a current flows through the photodiode, and a potential at the accumulation node drops. When the backlight is turned off, a transistor turns on, a current flows through the photodiode, and the potential at the accumulation node rises. Sensitivity characteristics of the two photodiodes may be changed using the clock signal. The sensor pixel circuit described above is used for detecting a difference between an amount of light to be incident when the backlight is turned on and an amount of light to be incident when the backlight is turned off.

摘要: A protective structure for a vehicle having an opening on an upper surface is provided. One embodiment of the invention has at least a partial enclosure around an area defined laterally by the vehicle opening with an overhead and side protective capability. An embodiment of the invention has an overhead cover that is formed to substantially enclose a top area of the enclosure and having multiple panels that may be locked into place or opened by an occupant for exit through a top area of the enclosure. Biasing devices may be provided to bias the panels toward an open position and thereby facilitate occupant egress. The multiple panels in this embodiment extend upwardly and inwardly from a section of the enclosure's side walls. Ballistic windows are provided on the protective structure such that an occupant can view laterally and vertically through the enclosure and overhead cover. A shield or protective plate can be mounted on one side of the enclosure.

摘要: An inverter is configured by double gate TFTs, and an inverter is configured by double gate TFTs. Top gate terminals of the TFTs that configure the inverter are connected to an input terminal DAT(+), and bottom gate terminals are connected to an output of the inverter and an output terminal OUT. Bottom gate terminals of the TFTs that configure the inverter are connected to an input terminal DAT(−), and bottom gate terminals are connected to an output of the inverter. With this, threshold voltages of the inverters are controlled so as to facilitate switching operations of the inverters, and whereby the comparator circuit operates at a high speed. It is possible to obtain a comparator circuit that is insusceptible to a variation in the threshold voltages of the transistors and fluctuation of a common mode voltage of an input signal and capable of operating at a high speed.

摘要: Each of even-numbered photodiodes 1 and 2 for constituting a diode of the present invention (i) has regions (regions 1a through 1c and regions 2a through 2c) whose sizes in a certain direction are identical to sizes of regions of a reference diode 5, and (ii) has a channel width equal to ½ of a channel width W of the reference diode 5. The regions 1a through 1c and the regions 2a through 2c are arranged so as to (i) extend parallel to the certain direction which is provided parallel to a channel length L of the reference diode 5, and so as to be (ii) line-symmetric or point-symmetric to each other as a whole. The photodiodes 1 and 2 are electrically connected to each other in series so as to carry out an equivalent operation to that of the reference diode 5. Employing of the photodiodes 1 and 2 provides a configuration of diodes each having an identical characteristic and occupying a reduced area on a substrate.

摘要: Rules, applied to deny authorization of likely fraudulent transactions, are derived from a modified Patient Rule Induction Method algorithm that uses a target variable and a data set of past transactions each associated with a plurality of input variables and a hyper-rectangle enclosing a multi-dimensional space defined by a representation of the input variable values as points within the multi-dimensional space. While a count of the points within the hyper-rectangle is greater than a minimum support parameter, a first plurality of points proximal to edges of the hyper-rectangle are removed, where each such removing maximizes a mean value of the target variable, and then, while the mean value remains maximized, a second plurality of points proximal to the edges is added, where each adding maximizes or maintains the mean value. The hyper-rectangle is bounded within a minimum bounding box that defines the rules.

摘要: A hand operated primer pump for small marine or other engines generally spark ignition engines used on stern drive boats that prevents transfer of hydrocarbons into the atmosphere. The primer generally mimics and replaces prior art rubber primer bulbs in general shape and possibly color, although it can be made in any shape or color. It generally contains a pump that delivers a precise measured amount of fuel with each stroke of the actuator. The primer can have an ergonomically designed actuator that creates the farthest distance from a fulcrum point for maximum leverage and hence, maximum ease of use. The primer is generally designed with a continuous molded fuel path to seal any source of hydrocarbon leakage as well as being made from materials that prevent transfer of hydrocarbons to the atmosphere.

摘要: A multi-service network element is configurable for use in various types of communications networks. The network element has a service interface card, a service interface electrical connector for receiving the service interface card, an I/O electrical connector for receiving an I/O module, and a backplane. The backplane has a first side, an opposite side, a first means for electrically connecting the service interface electrical connector to the first side, and a second means for electrically connecting the I/O electrical connector to either side of the backplane. The backplane is partitioned into columns and rows of electrical connectors. Each column corresponds to a card slot for receiving a circuit pack and each row corresponds to a section of the backplane having traces for carrying a particular type of electrical signals between circuit packs.
