摘要: Setting-element arrangement controls the longitudinal speed and/or the steering angle of a motor vehicle. More specifically, a user-actuable setting element which, during forward motion, when actuated in a respectively first actuation direction, brings about a change of the parameter controlled thereby in a first change direction and, when actuated out of the position of rest into a respectively second actuation direction which is opposite the first, brings about a change of this parameter in a second change direction opposite to the first. In such a setting-element arrangement, the assignment of the two change directions of the longitudinal speed and/or of the steering angle to the respectively first or second actuation direction of the setting element is inverted, during reverse motion, in relation to that during forward motion. The driver's intuitive association of a setting-element actuation corresponding to the desired dynamic vehicle reaction is thus maintained, even during reverse motion.

摘要: Substitute materials are increasingly proposed for contact pieces in low-voltage switches, which until now frequently consisted of silver-nickel. In the case of such a substitute material which, besides silver, contains at least iron oxide (Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 /Fe.sub.3 O.sub.4) and zirconium oxide (ZrO.sub.2) as active components, the making capacity with regard to the critical welding current is improved by an addition of a further oxide of the sixth subgroup of the Periodic System and/or of a mixed oxide that consists of iron oxide and the oxide of an element of the sixth subgroup of the Periodic System. In this connection, the further additive is, in particular, ferro-wolframate (FeWO.sub.4).

摘要: A tripping device for a safety device, such as a lateral air bag for protecting vehicle occupants in the event of a side crash evaluates for the purpose of reliable tripping of the safety device in the event of a dangerous side crash and effectively avoiding spurious tripping, the signals of a deformation sensor arranged in the lateral region of the vehicle, and a transverse acceleration sensor arranged on the vehicle longitudinal axis. In the event of the presence of a deformation signal, an acceleration evaluator is started and the tripping sensitivity is increased. The deformation rate is determinable from the signal of the deformation sensor, and an increase in the tripping sensitivity is stronger in the event of a crash when the deformation rate is higher.

摘要: The invention relates to an occupant restraint system having an air bag which is automatically inflated by means of a gas generator in the event of an accident and, during this process, emerges from a housing or the like whilst opening a padded flap which normally closes the housing or the like. In this case, an intended tearing point arranged at the edge of the flap remote from the pivot axis is undone, which intended tearing point is shielded by a thick pad swelling from contact by the occupant to be protected.

摘要: A method of storing in a memory having a predetermined number of storage spaces signals representative of deviations in the tension continuously monitored in a plurality of strands of yarn running in a textile machine. The signals from the individual strands are sequentially fed into a memory and are initially stored in the available spaces. Once the memory is filled, the highest number of earlier stored signals is reduced by later signals being written over them.

摘要: A mudflap for vehicles, whereby said the mudflap has a flat main body (1) with ribs (11), arranged in a V-formation for the intercepting, slowing-down and diverting of water thrown up from the wheel of a vehicle, and channels (24, 26, 29), for guiding water intercepted and diverted in the central area (9) down and away, located in two side areas (10) arranged symmetrically about the central longitudinal plane (8). The ribs are provided in a V-formation inclined downwardly from their apex in the region of the central longitudinal plane (8), and have a cross-section which tapers from the main body (1) to the free end. They are arranged so close to each other that the grooves (14) between the ribs (11) have approximately the same cross-sectional area, admittedly the other way round, as the cross-sectional area of the ribs (11). The channels (24, 26, 29) located in the side areas (10) are open on the sides facing the wheel of the vehicle and have at least two continuous longitudinal ribs (20, 21, 22), whereby the longitudinal rib (20) facing the central longitudinal plane (8) is lower in height than the longitudinal rib (22) facing the longitudinal edge (4 or 5) of the mudflap.

摘要: A connector bank with two rows of insulation displacement contacts for connecting insulated conductors, in particular of cables for telecommunication and data systems, comprising a surge arrester magazine to be inserted into the connector bank. In order to provide a connector bank having a voltage surge protection and allowing connecting and disconnecting as well as testing the attached cable conductors at the insulation displacement contacts even with inserted voltage surge protection, the two rows of insulation displacement contacts are arranged on different sides of the connector bank. An insulation displacement contact of the first row is connected over a connecting element with an insulation displacement contact of the second row. The surge arrester magazine is arranged laterally approximately centrally between the two rows of insulation displacement contacts.
