Abstract:
A clarifier with an improved rake comprising a plurality of arms, wherein each arm of the rake including a series of arcuate blades, which each blade increasing in height and angle relative to the rake arm as radial distance of the blade relative to the center of the rake decreases.
Abstract:
Devices, methods, and systems for providing building information modeling data are described herein. One system includes a database having complete building information modeling data associated with a building, and a computing device coupled to the database. The computing device is configured to receive, from a user of the computing device, a request for a particular scope of building information modeling data associated with the building, retrieve, from the database, the building information modeling data in the database that corresponds to the particular scope of building information modeling data requested by the user, and provide, to the user, the building information modeling data that corresponds to the particular scope of building information modeling data requested by the user.
Abstract:
An ultrasound system and method provide a workflow to acquire 3D images of the fetal heart gated by a synthetic heart gating signal. An ROI is defined in an ultrasound image which delineates the fetal heart. The ultrasound system is controlled to automatically estimate the fetal heart rate from echo signals received from the ROI. When the system has acquired a stable synthetic heart rate signal, an indication thereof is given to the user and the user then commands the system to acquire 3D fetal heart images for a number of fetal heart cycles which are gated using the synthetic heart rate signal.
Abstract:
A variable position exercise device is provided that includes a pair of parallel rails, a sliding platform separable into four separate sections, a removable support, and a pedal unit. Resistance to the device is provided by a plurality of resistance members allowing the user multiple options for the customization and operation of the device.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for consumer price index determination using panel-based and point-of-sale market research data are disclosed. An example method to determine a consumer price index disclosed herein comprises obtaining panelist market research data determined by monitoring items purchased by a plurality of statistically-selected panelists, obtaining retail site market research data for items sold by a plurality of retail sites, combining the panelist market research data and the retail site market research data to determine weighted equivalent unit pricing information for each group of common items in an item stratum of the consumer price index having substantially similar attributes except for a unit amount, and determining the consumer price index using the weighted equivalent unit pricing information.
Abstract:
Enhanced amusement game tournament play is achieved by awarding prizes to one or more players maintaining a position on a threshold game score achieving, bump board listing, a prize qualifying cumulative threshold game score total, and/or a prize qualifying cumulative actual game score total wherein individual game scores are required to meet a threshold game score prior to being added to the cumulative total. These methods for awarding prizes may also include the awarding of prizes to one or more players achieving a prize qualifying individual game score and/or a prize qualifying cumulative game score total.
Abstract:
An implantable medical device comprises a near field telemetry module to wirelessly receive first information into the IMD, a far field telemetry module to wirelessly receive second information into the IMD, and a processor in electrical communication with the near field telemetry module and the far field telemetry module. The processor is configured to establish, in relation to a communication signal received by the near field telemetry module, a time period during which communication via the far field telemetry module is available, and operate the IMD according to the received second information upon receiving third information via the near field telemetry link.
Abstract:
The invention relates to novel methods and kits for treating or preventing disease through the administration of random copolymers comprising amino acids tyrosine (Y), phenylalanine (F), alanine (A), and lysine (K). The invention also relates to the treatment of autoimmune diseases, such as multiple sclerosis, and to the administration of random copolymers in treatment regimen comprising formulations that are administered at intervals greater than 24 hours, or to sustained release formulations which administer the copolymer over a period greater than 24 hours. The invention further relates to methods for conducting a pharmaceutical business comprising manufacturing, licensing, or distributing kits containing or relating to the formulations or dosing regimens of random copolymer described herein.
Abstract:
A telemetry system enabling radio frequency (RF) communications between an implantable medical device and an external device, or programmer, in which the RF circuitry is normally maintained in a powered down state in order to conserve power. At synchronized wakeup intervals, one of the devices designated as a master device powers up its RF transmitter to request a communications session, and the other device designated as a slave device powers up its RF transmitter to listen for the request. Telemetry is conducted using a far field or near field communication link.
Abstract:
The instant invention provides methods for the detection and quantitation of complex peptide mixtures in tissue samples and functional readouts of the results of administration of such complex peptide mixtures. The instant invention further provides methods for administering complex peptide mixtures to a subject in need thereof, the dosage regimen and quantity determined based on the above mentioned method for detection and quantitation.
