A method for monitoring blade frequencies of a wind turbine and a monitoring system are provided. An accelerometer is attached to a rotating hub of a wind turbine measuring vibrations of the hub. To extract vibration signals originating from each blade, the vibration signals are combined with measuring signals from the azimuth angle sensor. Alternatively, the azimuth angle is found by using the measured accelerations in two directions representing the centrifugal forces and vibrating forces of the hub and feeding these signals into a phase locked loop unit establishing a phase of the rotating hub representing the azimuth angle. To extract each blade frequency, a Fast Fourier Transformation is used on the signals from the accelerometer. To monitor a severe change in each blade frequency, each blade frequency is compared to other blade frequencies and an alarm is set when a given level is reached and the wind turbine is stopped.

According to the method, operating parameters of the wind turbines of the wind farm are adjusted according to an optimization goal, the optimization goal being the maximum value of the total output of the wind farm produced from the sum of all individual outputs of the wind turbines. The controlling device includes a first input node for receiving a first signal, indicative of an actual rotational speed of the rotor, a second input node for receiving a second signal, indicative of a reference rotational speed for the rotor, a detection unit for detecting a defective operational state in which the wind turbine is impeded to export electrical power to an electricity network, a control unit for providing a reference signal for a characteristic operational parameter of the wind turbine based on the first signal and the second signal, and a pulse generator adapted to send a kick pulse to an integral control element of the control unit in response to the detection of the defective operational state. The characteristic operational parameter is indicative of the rotational speed of the rotor.

It is described a method of determining a quality of an initial value for a blade pitch angle. An initial power captured by a wind turbine is measured, while the blade pitch angle has the initial value. The blade pitch angle is changed from the initial value to a first value in a first direction. A first power captured by the wind turbine is measured and the blade pitch angle is changed to a second value in a second direction being opposite to the first direction. Further, a second power captured by the wind turbine is measured, a power difference between the first power and the second power is calculated, and the quality of the initial value based on the calculated power difference is determined. Further, a control system, a wind turbine and a computer program are described.

The method includes the steps of determining a rotor rotational speed of the wind turbine and controlling the rotor rotational speed such that a critical rotor speed is avoided, characterized in that it further comprises the following steps: selecting at least one input parameter value; selecting, according to the input parameter value, an operation mode for controlling the rotor rotational speed, wherein the operation mode is selected from a set of modes comprising a mode of auto tune operation; on the condition of the selected operation mode comprising the mode of auto tune operation, performing the following steps: detecting the tower oscillation frequency; calculating the critical rotor speed based on the detected tower oscillation frequency and controlling the rotor rotational speed to avoid the calculated critical rotor speed. The method comprises the steps of: measuring an effective centrifugal force acting in a first pre-determined direction, which is defined in a co-ordinate system rotating synchronously with the rotor, on at least one reference object located in or at the rotor, establishing a first angular frequency representing the rotation speed of the rotor on the basis of variations in the measured effective centrifugal force due to gravitational force, establishing a second angular frequency representing the rotation speed of the rotor by use of at least one yaw rate gyro, and establishing the value of the rotation speed as the rotational parameter by correcting the second angular frequency by comparing it to the first angular frequency.
