    摘要: An intraocular lens injection device comprises a tubular housing with a plunger longitudinally disposed within the tubular housing. An electric drive system longitudinally translates the plunger so that its tip engages an insertion cartridge to fold and displace an intraocular lens disposed within and to inject the folded lens into the lens capsule of an eye. A control circuit is configured to start translation of the plunger, responsive to user input, to detect at least one fault condition based on a counter-electromotive force produced by the electric motor, and to stop translation of the plunger assembly responsive to the detected fault condition, which may comprise excessive resistance to forward or rearward translation of the plunger or insufficient resistance to forward translation of the plunger.

    摘要: In various embodiments, a surgical console may include a sensor strip with sensor strip sensors (e.g., field effect or capacitive sensors) offset vertically and configured to receive an input from a user corresponding to a vertical height of a patient's eyes relative to the surgical console. The surgical console may use the input from the sensor strip to determine a patient eye level (PEL) relative to a surgical console component and then use the PEL and the at least one component in controlling operation of at least one of a source of irrigation or a source of aspiration during an ophthalmic procedure. The surgical console may further include a plurality of visual indicators positioned relative to at least two of the plurality of sensor strip sensors and configured to be illuminated to correspond to a sensor detecting the touch input.

    摘要: A graphical user interface for use in an ocular surgical system, such as phacoemulsification and vitreo-retinal surgical systems. A display screen shows a display element that includes a representation of a parameter of pulses generated by the ocular surgical system relative to a position of the controller. A window is displayed on the display screen and generated in response to touching the display screen of the ocular surgical system. The window includes a display element having a value of a parameter of the system. A value of the parameter is changed by touching the display screen at the adjustment element. The window can also include a representation of the parameter of the pulses relative to the position of the controller and an adjustment element for changing a value of the parameter represented in the display element. The representation in the window can be linear or non-linear, indicating the function of the parameter relative to a position of a controller, such as a foot pedal. A current representation of the parameter displayed in the window is changed to a different representation of the parameter in response to touching the display screen at the window. The window is closed by touching the display screen at a pre-defined area of the window. The window can also be configured to fade away or close after a pre-determined amount of time of inactivity or in response to a user.
