摘要: A method for after-treatment of carbon fiber, which comprises by electrolytic oxidation treatment in an aqueous solution having an ammonium ion concentration of 0.2 to 4.0 mol/l and a pH of at least 7 using the carbon fiber as an anode, followed by treating the resulting fiber in water with an ultrasonic wave of at least 20 kHz frequency at an intensity satisfying the condition: ##EQU1## wherein, F is the frequency (kHz) and T is the treatment period (min) provided that T>0.1.

摘要: The invention relates to a process for producing carbon fibers which comprises a continuous flame-resisting treatment of acrylic fibers in bundle form containing at least 90% by weight of acrylonitrile in an oxidizing atmosphere at temperatures of 250.degree. to 350.degree. C. by using a plurality of flame-resisting furnace different in heat treatment temperature under such conditions that the fiber density .rho.n after each stage of flame-resisting treatment may be maintained on the level defined by a specific conditional expression and so that the fiber density .rho.k after completion of the flame-resisting treatment may be from 1.34 to 1.40 g/ml, and successively are subjected to carbonizing treatment in an inert atmosphere.

摘要: A magnetic recording media comprising a nonmagnetic supporting substrate and a ferromagnetic alloy powder-containing magnetic layer applied onto the surface thereof is produced by:pre-dispersing a ferromagnetic alloy powder with and in a binder, said alloy having a specific surface area (S.sub.BET) of no less than 45 m.sup.2 /g and an absorbed water content of no higher than 1.2% by weight resulting in a pre-dispersion;mixing and dispersing an additional binder with and in the pre-dispersion; andcoating the resultant mixed and dispersed magnetic coating liquid onto said nonmagnetic supporting substrate.

摘要: Fast union of a ceramic article to an opposed material is attained by a method which comprises forming a film of metal on the surface of the ceramic article, irradiating the surface of the metallic film with high-energy ions to bind the metallic film fast to the ceramic article, and supplying solder or brazing alloy to the surface of the metallic film and soldering or brazing the ceramic article to the opposed article. The high-energy ions for the irradiation has a magnitude of 30 to 800 keV and the dosage of the high-energy ions is in the range of 5.times.10.sup.15 to 2.times.10.sup.18 ions/cm.sup.2.

摘要: A process for producing a magnetic recording material comprising a support having a thin metal film layer provided thereon is described, the process comprising the steps of (1) coating a thin magnetic metal film having a water contact angle of at least 25.degree. with a polymer solution to form a thin polymer layer, drying the thin polymer layer, and providing a lubricant on the thin polymer layer, or (2) coating the thin magnetic metal film with a lubricant-containing polymer solution to form a lubricant-containing polymer layer, and drying the lubricant-containing polymer layer.

摘要: A magnetic recording medium having a thin magnetic metal film formed on a non-magnetic base is disclosed. A thin film of a copolymer having vinylidene chloride and acrylonitrile as repeating units is formed on either the thin magnetic metal film or the surface of the base opposite the thin magnetic metal film or both. The resulting magnetic recording medium has improved running properties, wear resistance and electro-to-magnetic conversion characteristics.

摘要: Provided is a carbon fiber manufacturing method including a surface treatment step of ejecting an ozone solution in which ozone is dissolved in solvent from a fluid ejecting port toward a carbon fiber bundle and causing the ozone solution to pass between single fibers of the carbon fiber bundle so as to contact surfaces of the single fibers so that the surfaces of carbon fibers are treated by the ozone solution. Also, provided is a carbon fiber subjected to a surface treatment by the carbon fiber manufacturing method.
