摘要: The disclosed device is an additional, normally-closed relay positioned in line with the ignition switch and the functionality controlled by the OEM, normally-open relay. When the aftermarket system is in the disarmed state, the normally-closed relay is dormant in its closed position, thereby allowing the circuit to complete its intended loop. When the aftermarket security system is enabled, the normally-closed relay will open the current flow and prevent the current from reaching its target, thereby disrupting or disabling the operation of the vehicle function. If the normally-closed relay fails, it fails in its closed position, thereby not affecting the OEM system.

摘要: A range of various sized attachments of infrared heaters powered by liquid petroleum gas (LPG) for installation to a number of current styles of vehicles. These infrared heaters are designed to heat asphalt and other road and structure surfaces for subsequent repair. The vehicles may be an adaptation to existing designs of medium to heavy road going flat bed trucks or to various types of construction loaders. The attachments to construction loaders may be installed as adaptions to front end loader quick-change systems or back hoe bucket mount positions. The whole attachment and its support operating and control assembly may be easily removed for addition to other vehicles of similar types. With the area heated to an appropriate temperature to release the bound surface structure it can then be raked and combined with minimal amounts of new surface fill if required to the previously damaged area. A rejuvenating liquid is then sprayed onto the mix, prior to compaction to provide a fast, economic, quiet and more environmentally friendly means of road repair than traditional methodology.

摘要: A parameter of an integrated circuit including a first trim array and a second trim array is trimmed by measuring an initial value of the parameter, determining whether the parameter exceeds a reference value, and as long as the parameter exceeds the reference value, repetitively blowing fuses associated with binarily weighted trim elements of the first trim array to eliminate trim contributions thereof to thereby decrease the parameter by weighted amounts corresponding to a present trim array bit number value until either all fuses of the first trim array have been blown or enough have been blown to cause the parameter to be less than a −LSB/2 weight. If the parameter then is less than the −LSB/2 weight, a fuse of the second trim array corresponding to a present bit number is blown to increase the parameter to greater than a +LSB/2 weight. The procedure is repeated until all fuses in one trim array have been blown, to thereby minimize the number of residual trim elements.

摘要: A computing machine comprises an electronic circuit operable to perform a function, a programmable integrated circuit such as an FPGA, and a processor. The processor is operable to detect a failure of the electronic circuit and to configure the programmable integrated circuit to perform the function of the electronic circuit in response to detecting the failure. Alternatively, the computing machine comprises a hardwired pipeline operable to perform a function and a processor operable to detect a failure of the pipeline and to perform the function in response to detecting the failure. By allowing a first type of circuit (e.g., an FPGA) to take over for a failed second type of circuit (e.g., a processor), such a computing machine can be fault-tolerant without having redundant versions of each component, and may thus be less expensive and smaller than computing machines of comparable computing power.

摘要: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for multi-dimensional registration printing. One embodiment of the apparatus includes an image module, a print module, and an object registration module. The image module stores a digital representation of an image. The print module prints the image on a multi-dimensional surface of an object. The object registration module controls a multi-dimensional registration of the multi-dimensional surface of the object in proximity to a print head in accordance with the image. The printing system may use a print ribbon that includes an infrared absorbent, a resin, or both.

摘要: This invention is a process for producing vinyl chloride from an ethylene-containing feed, oxygen, and a chlorine source in the presence of a catalyst. The process permits direct production of vinyl chloride in a single reactor system, and further permits ethane to be used as the C2 hydrocarbon feed with recycle of ethylene from the product stream to constitute the ethylene specified for the feed. This invention in another aspect concerns also a composition of matter, and a method for making the composition, wherein the composition is useful as a catalyst for the vinyl chloride process. The composition comprises a rare earth-containing material, with the proviso that the catalyst prepared therefrom is substantially free of iron and copper and with the further proviso that when cerium is present the catalyst further comprises at least one more rare earth element other than cerium.

摘要: A water disinfection delivery treatment system first filters the supply by a particle and then a carbon filter. The partially treated flow is split in two and a first part passes through a first cutoff valve and is fed into a disinfection (iodine) chamber, filter or feeder via a flow restricter. The chamber output passes through a second solenoid driven cutoff valve. The second part is fed to a third cutoff valve and this valve's output is summed with the second valve's output and then fed into a holding tank. The tank retain's a volume such that the water remains therein for at least a period sufficient to permit a minimum 3 log reduction of pathogenic microbes. A final carbon filter is downstream of the tank as is a meter and dispenser. A method is also provided for delivering potable drinking water.
