摘要: A system including one or more hardware processors for automatic evaluation of a cutting element in a wear testing device. The system includes an access module to access cutting element event analysis results from a sensor array. The system further includes a first model trained to classify a cutting element event of the cutting element according to a supervised machine learning algorithm, and output a predicted event type of the cutting element event. The system further includes a second model trained to classify a cutting element event of the cutting element according to an unsupervised machine learning algorithm, and output a predicted behavior of the cutting element event. The system further includes a controller to determine a toughness and a wear resistance of the cutting element. The system also includes an output module to generate and display a work order on a user interface of a client device.

摘要: A method includes creating a chamber within an annulus between a wellbore casing and a drillpipe. An upper boundary of the chamber includes a seal and a lower boundary of the chamber includes a liquid surface and determining a volume of the chamber at a first time. The method further includes determining the volume of the chamber includes measuring, using a pressure gauge, a first pressure within the chamber, changing an amount of a gas in the chamber, and measuring, using the pressure gauge, a second pressure within the chamber. The method further includes determining a first volume of gas within the chamber based on the first and second pressure measurements and the change in the amount of gas, and determining a first fluid level based on the first volume of the chamber.

摘要: A method of fabricating a drill bit is described. The method includes forming a mold with interior surfaces defining a mold cavity within the mold, the mold cavity having a shape corresponding to a shape of a body of the drill bit; forming catalyst-free synthesized polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) cutting elements using an ultra-high pressure and temperature process; determining positions of the catalyst-free synthesized PDC cutting elements within the mold cavity; placing the catalyst-free synthesized PDC cutting elements at the determined positions within the mold cavity; filling the mold cavity with matrix materials of the body of the drill bit; and bonding the catalyst-free synthesized PDC cutting elements with the matrix materials of the body to form an impregnated drill bit.

摘要: Methods, systems, and apparatus for carrying out rapid on-site optical chemical analysis in oil feeds are described. In one aspect, a system for manufacture of a tool includes a deposition reactor configured for molecular layer deposition or atomic layer deposition of metal powder to manufacture coated particles, a fabrication unit configured for 3D printing of the tool, and a controller that controls the deposition reactor and the fabrication unit, wherein the fabrication unit and the deposition reactor are integrated for automated fabrication of the tool using the coated particles from the deposition reactor as building material for the 3D printing.

摘要: Methods for forming a polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) drill bit from catalyst-free synthesized polycrystalline diamonds are described. The polycrystalline diamonds are deposited within a mold. In some cases, a matrix body material is deposited within the mold, and an infiltration process is performed to bond the polycrystalline diamonds to the matrix body material to form the PDC drill bit. In some cases, a drill bit body is formed within the mold, and forming the drill bit body within the mold includes depositing a layer of matrix body material particles within the mold, depositing an adhesive ink within the mold, and curing the adhesive ink. In some cases, a sintering process is performed after forming the drill bit body to remove at least a portion of the adhesive ink and increase a density of the drill bit body to form the PDC drill bit.

The plurality of microchips are housed in a microchip ring installed within the sliding sleeve. The plurality of microchips are configured to be released into the well to gather data upon reception of the ball in the ball landing seat. The ball catcher is configured to receive and hold the ball after the plurality of microchips are released into the well. The charging ring is electronically connected to the microchip ring and has a circuit, a power source, and a charging coil. The circuit has a voltage regulation chip, a microprocessor, and a circuit motion sensor.

摘要: A self-powered sensor array (SPSA) for sensing environmental parameters along a drillstring includes an outer collar having moveable member retainers with moveable members movably located in the moveable member retainers. An inner ring is rotatably supported within the outer collar with bearing elements on an outer surface of the inner ring positioned to displace the moveable members relative to the moveable member retainers in response to relative rotation between the inner ring and the outer collar. Shape memory material elements are arranged in a respective moveable member retainer. Distance sensors are configured to sense a gap responsive to a shape change of the respective shape memory material element and a displacement of the respective moveable member. Power generation components are configured such that, in response to the relative rotation, the bearing elements displace a particular moveable member into a particular moveable member retainer, generating an electric charge.
