Abstract: The present specification relates to a communication method and apparatus. The communication method for a base station (P-ENB) that controls a primary cell (PCell) of user equipment (UE) according to one embodiment of the present specification comprises the steps of: receiving a packet from a serving gateway through a non-primary (NP)-evolved packet system (EPS) bearer for a serving cell of a non-P-ENB base station (NP-ENB); generating a first radio link control packet data unit (RLC PDU) using the received packet; and transmitting the generated first RLC PDU to the NP-ENB.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for a user equipment receiving MBMS service processing a semi-permanent scheduling from an MBSFN subframe. A method for a user equipment receiving the multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) processing a downlink scheduling in a mobile communication system of the present invention comprises: a detection step of detecting the occurrence of the downlink scheduling in a random transmission time interval; a decision step of deciding whether to process the downlink scheduling, depending on whether the user equipment is set to a transmission mode 9 or whether the transmission time interval belongs to a multimedia broadcast multicast service single frequency network (MBSFN) subframe; and a processing step of processing or disregarding the downlink scheduling based on the result of the decision.

Abstract: The present invention pertains to a method and device for preserving mobility information in terminal state transition and effectively re-accessing in a heterogeneous cell network in a mobile communication system. A method for estimating a mobility state of a terminal in a mobile communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise the steps of: receiving, by the terminal, system information from a serving cell during an idle state; calculating mobility state information by using the received system information; storing the mobility state information; and transmitting the mobility state information to a base station when the terminal is connected to the base station. According to one embodiment of the present invention, when an idle state of a terminal is changed to a connection state in a mobile communication system, a mobility state of the terminal can be more effectively estimated.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for transmitting/receiving data, and a method for a user equipment transmitting data, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a step of determining conditions for determining whether a condition for transmitting short data is satisfied, when data to be transmitted is generated; and a step of including the data to be transmitted in a radio resource control (RRC) connection setup completion message and transmitting same, when the condition for transmitting the short data is satisfied. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the problem of network overload can be prevented by reducing signaling overhead when processing small packets, which are generated intermittently, in the mobile communication system, and an apparatus and a method for enhancing battery performance in the user equipment can be effectively provided.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for efficiently transmitting or reporting a Power Headroom Report (PHR) of a User Equipment (UE) are provided. The method of transmitting the PHR of the UE in a mobile communication system includes configuring an extended PHR including an indicator corresponding to a variation factor of a maximum transmission power of the UE, and transmitting the extended PHR from the UE to a Base Station (BS). The BS may be notified of a maximum transmission power of the UE and a variation factor corresponding to the maximum transmission power in order to enable efficient scheduling.
