Abstract:
Even when a remaining amount of an image memory built in a digital camera is decreased, the photographing can be further continued while reserving a photographed image. An image which is obtained from an image input unit including image pickup means is accumulated into an image memory. When a remaining amount calculating unit detects that the remaining amount of the image memory is small, an image record discriminating unit compares it with an image size in a photograph mode at that time which is obtained from an image size table, thereby discriminating whether the continuation of the photographing can be performed or not. When the photographing is impossible, an image selecting unit selects an old image, an image in which the number of colors is small, or the like on the basis of management data regarding the photographed images in a memory managing table. The selected image is transmitted by a PHS communication by a data transmitting apparatus. After it was transmitted, the image is erased from the image memory.
Abstract:
A horizontal axis wind turbine includes: a horizontal plate disposed on upwind side of a rotational central portion of a rotor; a first anemometer disposed at an upper position of upwind side of the horizontal plate; a second anemometer disposed at a lower position of the horizontal plate; and an upflow angle measuring section for measuring an upflow angle based on a wind speed difference or a wind speed ratio obtained from wind speeds measured by the first anemometer and the second anemometer.
Abstract:
A cooking appliance performs cooking which is remotely controlled, based on information relating to the object to be heated, as the information is transmitted to the appliance's computer from a management's computer. The cooking appliance can also cook any part of food in the cooking chamber locally.
Abstract:
The present invention is intended to exactly extract a feature-region along its contour line without erroneously extracting any moving object other than the feature-region. An extraction signal from a feature-region main-portion extracting circuit is sent to a small region eliminating circuit whereby an erroneously extracted small region is detected and eliminated as an erroneously extracted noisy portion. The small region eliminating circuit compares a small region with four predetermined detection patterns, discriminates it as a region other than the feature (face)-region if no match is found and causes a center pixel of a window of 3.times.3 pixels to have a logical value of zero. An output of the small region eliminating circuit is sent to a blank filling circuit which compares its input with four predetermined detection patterns, discriminates it as a face-region if a match is found and makes a central pixel of a window of 13.times.13 pixels have a logical value of 1. The above-mentioned extraction method can reliably extract features of the face-region and is free from the erroneous extraction of any moving object other than the face.
Abstract:
A television display apparatus is disclosed for forming a small image area in accord with the television signal of a standard system within one portion of the region of a large image area on the screen in accord with the television signal of an HDTV system. The apparatus displays a picture in the small image area within the large area by locally substituting for a first signal to display on the screen a composite picture having a picture of a second signal nested in the picture of the first signal. The apparatus uses three field memories each having a video signal of the second television signal written therein with the cycle. Field detecting apparatus determines whether the video signal in each television signal is a signal form the first field or the second field. The field memory that is not being currently written and has a field which is identical to that of the video signal included in the first television signal being currently scanned is selected for the composite picture.
Abstract:
A document output apparatus is disclosed which comprises a register for registering a handwritten character as a font; a digitizer for inputting to the apparatus information on a row of characters to be output; a CPU for changing as needed a predetermined pitch between characters and a predetermined pitch between lines which are output parameters; and a reader for reading from the register a font corresponding to the information on a row of characters that the digitizer has input. The CPU outputs the font read by the reader on the basis of the changed output parameters.
Abstract:
Inorganic raw materials are heated and pressed in a kiln to produce a porous ceramic panel. The foaming body is first-pressed in a foaming step, and after the foaming step the first-pressed foamed body is second-pressed, in order to obtain superior dimensional accuracy and surface smoothness. The panels are applicable, for instance, to interior or exterior materials of various kinds of buildings such as prefabricated houses and shops.
