    摘要: In a DS/CDMA receiver, each of first and second receiving units (211 and 221) receives a DS/CDMA signal as a received signal. First and second adaptive interference cancellers (212+213, 222+223) are connected to the first and the second receiving units, respectively. Each of the adaptive interference cancellers cancels an interference on the received signal. Connected to the first and the second receiving units and to the first and the second adaptive interference cancellers, a single interference canceller control circuit (204) controls the first and the second adaptive interference cancellers in common. An all output combiner (201) combines all of output signals of the first and the second adaptive interference cancellers. Preferably, each of the adaptive interference cancellers has an adaptive filter (212 or 222) to cancel the interference with respect to all other stations by adaptively making its tap coefficients orthogonal to spreading codes of the all other stations. Each of the adaptive interference cancellers further has a differential detection circuit (213 or 223) to compensate for phase fluctuation of an output signal of the adaptive filter. The single interference canceller control circuit may control the adaptive interference cancellers in common on the basis of best quality control information relating to one of the received signals of the first and the second receiving units that has a best signal quality.

    摘要: In a burst demodulator, an APSK burst signal containing a preamble of alternating "1" and "-1" symbols, followed by a data field is received and quasi-coherently demodualted into a baseband complex signal, which is converted to digital form such that each symbol of the complex signal yields N digital samples, with N being selected such that at least one of the N digital samples is closest to a signal point of the burst signal. A clock recovery circuit is responsive to the arrival of the burst for estimating the symbol timing of the burst signal from digital samples of the preamble. A digital sample is extracted from every N samples of the preamble in response to the estimated symbol timing so that it is most likely to be closest to the signal point. A carrier recovery circuit responds to the estimated symbol timing by estimating the carrier frequency and phase of the burst signal from the extracted digital samples to produce a complex carrier signal, which is multiplied with the extracted digital samples to recover the original signal. Memories are preferably provided to store the received burst signal. By repeatedly reading the preamble from the memories, the same symbols of the preamble can be used for clock timing and carrier phase recovery operations.

    摘要: A carrier-to-noise detector comprises an A/D converter (1) which samples an output of the demodulator of a digital transmission system at a symbol clock rate and converting it to a digital signal having positive and negative values. An absolute value converting circuit (2) converts the output of A/D converter into an absolute value which is averaged by a first averaging circuit (3) over a period sufficient to suppress short term variations and then squared by a first squaring circuit (4) to give an output representing the carrier component. The output of A/D converter is, on the other hand, squared by a second squaring circuit (5) and averaged by a second averaging circuit (6) to suppress short term variations to give an output representing a total of the carrier and noise components. The carrier component in the output of the second averaging circuit 6 is subtracted by a subtractor (7). A ratio between the outputs of the first squaring circuit (4) and subtracting circuit (7) is derived by a divider (8) as a representation of a carrier-to-noise ratio.

A common pilot channel is transmitted to a plurality of mobile stations in the sectors by beams (101-103) whose directivity is controlled by an adaptive antenna for each of the sectors.     摘要: A multiuser interference elimination apparatus in which, even in the second and other subsequent stages, adaptive updating of antenna weights can be performed and antenna weights can be generated with accuracy by using interference-canceled received signals. A multiplier performs gain correction by multiplying a symbol replica transmitted from the preceding stage by a coefficient [1−(1−α)m−1], and an antenna signal regeneration section converts the gain-corrected symbol replica into antenna signals. Adders add the antenna signals converted by the antenna signal regeneration section to outputs from despread devices and output the addition results to an antenna weight adaptive updating section. The antenna weight adaptive updating section performs adaptive updating of antenna weights by using the addition results.
