A plurality of directories are set in a recording media, and a recording destination directory is selected according to the types of data. At the time of data reproducing process, a virtual file system in which the recorded data in the BDMV directory and the recorded data in the BDAV/BU directory are consolidated is constructed to achieve the reproducing process.
